Sally had a mental list of things she was not going to do while out shopping. Nearly every single one of them ended with 'don't freak out on Ali'. She was hoping it wouldn't be too hard to follow these simple guidelines and if she could manage to calm down she might accomplish her goals. After all there was a reason for the outing and she really did need to buy clothes. She also needed to stop over analyzing everything before Ali even arrived.
So she tried to sit quietly on the couch and flip through the magazine while she waited for the older girl. Sally wouldn't be able to explain a single thing she read if she was asked but at least she wasn't pacing.
