She'd seemed so small and hurt, so anti-Rikki. And she'd looked so cold...which made him think of what GLaDOS had said, how it was cold and uncomfortable when she'd come back. It still freaked Victor out, to think about it. What would Rikki have forgotten? Why was dying here like this? He had no idea how to make the situation any better, so he'd lamely offered the first thing to spring to mind, his extra heater, and here he was to drop it off.
He was completely distracted by his thoughts. He grabbed the doorknob, found it locked, and automatically jimmied it open with his powers, the same way he would get into his own place. He caught himself mid-barge, halfway through the door, and winced.
"Uh hey, Rikki, you here? It's Victor."
