Sympathy for the Devil

Mar 10, 2010 22:21

WHO: Spider-Man and Norman Osborn
WHERE: Norman's HQ
WHEN: Dated after Peter's discussion with Norman over the com, and shortly before the end of the AU swap. You'll see.
WARNINGS: Maybe a little violence? Who knows.
SUMMARY: Pete, extremely unhappy and confused with their conversation, decides to visit Alternate!Norman to continue their discussion face to face.
FORMAT: Para to begin. Whatever afterward.

Not that he had expected any sort of closure from the conversation, but as soon as the com shut off, Peter found himself filled with a mix of emotions that left him bereft of any amount of peace of mind. For the next half hour, he paced around his apartment until he finally decided that he had to go talk to him. The other Norman.

His fists balled when he thought about him, but that was only because he had his face. His voice. He was so civil and apologetic. Sure, he was still a dick. He was still Norman, but it was different. For his remaining time here, knowing he was, what, already dead? And certainly not going to be here for much longer, he decided to contact Pete and apologize.

Pete pulled on his mask and pulled the window up, let the breeze hit him before swinging out towards Norman's tower. He figured, at any other time, he would never be able to approach as casually as he was planning on doing now. But, if this really wasn't the Norman he knew, maybe he would be able to talk to him.

Either that or this was all an elaborate ploy and he was going to get shot out of the sky. I guess he'd find out soon enough.

After a brief swing through the evening air, and given time to compose himself, Pete landed at the window towards one of the upper tiers of the building. He figured he wouldn't have to knock-- Norman probably already knew he was coming as soon as he was in the area.
