[Pete takes great pleasure in melting the wall of electronics. The shocking devices on Janet and Hank short-out. For a moment Pete considers pressing a hand crackling with electricity against the Jan-bot's face and melting it off, but he can't bring himself to. Just in case. He doesn't know.]

Jannie, baby, are you okay?

[Pete's skull doesn't look very concerned: it has no facial expressions. But Pete sounds very concerned indeed.]

[Her arms and legs are sore from straining against the straps holding her down but over all, she's okay.]

Oh thank God. I really didn't need my week to get any worse-- being a robot would just be the end all. Can you undo these things?

[He fumbles with her straps and eventually gets her free. Usually he has better dexterity, but he's having to concentrate very hard on not letting sparks shoot out of his fingers. He compensates by venting even more out of his head as he fumes. Seriously: Johnny Blaze would be proud. He hisses.]

Goddamn Clickers.

[That's the first time he's said that word in months.]

So that was his plan, huh?

[She rubs her wrists. Huh. The skull thing was a little bit freaky, she couldn't lie. But there is no need to be rude to her savior.]

I think so. He knocked me out for most of this, so...

[Jan shakes her head.]

That little jerk.

...Jerk?

[That's kind of a mild insult toward the guy who kidnapped and tried to be-robot you. In Pete's confusion his face flickers back into visibility. He tucks an arm under her armpit to haul her up.]

[Jan winces a bit at being jarred.]

I'll think of something more clever to call him once my brain stops being so fuzzy.

I'm gonna carry you.

[It's not a question or a request. He bends down and tucks his other arm behind her knees. He's stronger than he looks. His arms really only look skinny in comparison to other parts of his body.

And someone else will get Hank out, surely. There's that other guy, and the rock man, and that girl, and some dinosaur, and one of them will deal with Hank, right?

...Also, who cares about Hank.]

... thank you.

[She is feeling kind of woozy and her head hurts. But Jan wouldn't complain. She is just extremely happy to be getting out of here.]

I owe you one.

[And up she's lifted, and away toward the door they go.]

Yeah, don't worry: I ain't gonna make you carry me home.

[Not unless she comes down with super-strength.]
