WHEN: Backdated to last Sunday!
WARNINGS: Never.
SUMMARY: speeching
FORMAT: WHATEVER

The final night in “the City” had come to a close. Though, the fairground itself was certainly anything but still. Tall portable lamps dimly lit up the dusty, surprisingly litter-free grounds of the carnival. Most of the kiosks, tents, and rides were dark and empty. However, a single stage just beyond the ticket booth of the carnival was fully illuminated. Samuel Sullivan stood at the front at the edge of the boards, decked out in a black tailcoat, dark red shirt, and pin striped pants. He was smiling ear to ear. The cheeriness was genuine, completely void of any hinted morbidity or ulterior motives. The now full caravan stood below or nearby, listening to their ringmaster.

“Welcome,” he delightedly exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air.

Then, he proceeded with his speech. His manner of speaking was full of passion, almost as if her were preaching some sort of religious experience. Not a single sentence was spoken solemnly or without interest.

“I realize that for many of you, my invitation may have come at inconvenient or awkward times. For others, it probably seemed unexpected or even too forward of me. The truth is, I can’t tell you that things will become easier. I will never give you false promises. I can however, tell you that you are part of something greater, fantastic, and more exciting than your current life. There are no demands or unrealistic expectations pressed upon you here. I promise that while you’re part of this family, you’ll have complete freedom to be yourself and make your own decisions. That said, yes I am now calling you all a family. If only for the reason that we all share similar experiences, lifestyles, and now a place to which you can call “home.” We’re not here to question ourselves or judge each other. No, this is a place of redemption and faith. There are no secrets among us. We’ve too much to live for to keep our true selves in hiding any longer. You’re safe now. No longer do you have to be afraid of judgment or loneliness because those things don’t exist here. That said, welcome once again, to a new life, a new destiny.”

Once finished, the lights on the stage dimmed, and he exited, returning to the general crowd now called, “family.”
