WHO: flyinwithheart and hitsthespot WHERE: An alley somewhere, then maybe Titans Tower WHEN: Tonight just after the timeswitch happened WARNINGS: None SUMMARY: Kory picks up a dazed and confused Roy FORMAT: Quicklog.
[She finds the alleyway easily, having spent enough time flying up and down the City to learn her way around in case something like this ever did happen. She calls out to him as she lands, so as not to startle him.]
[He doesn't get much of a choice because she is going to hug him. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HAPPY SHE IS TO SEE YOU.]
I am. It's a long story. The porter, the machine that brings us here, pulls people from different timelines. I'm from 1988. Most of the Titans here are from after my time.
Since a little before Thanksgiving, but this... Something's happened. Normally when people are brought in, they all are brought in to the same room, where the Porter is.
Something's happened and it's affected you and several other Titans.
[Slight smile at the mention of Lian before she's back to srs bzness.]
So far Tim and Gar have been switched with their far future selves. Tim has... he hasn't become evil, but he's changed. He believes that it has become necessary to use lethal force against criminals and... well. [Pulls up Tim's entry on her own comm to show to him.]
[Shaking her head in a negative and there's a lot of worry mixed in with her expressions now.]
I've tried. There is no talking with him. All we can do for the moment is get everyone out of the tower and try to find a way to figure out what to do.
I'm not really sure. Dick, Wally, Garth and you were all from my past. Donna was from my present. Everyone else was from different points in the future.
[Have a very ticked off speedster suddenly appearing before any leaving can be done. Wally's carrying Garth in his arms and Leviathan the Australian water dragon on his shoulder - having plucked both from the Tower before crazy Batman Tim could execute any of his 'contingency plans'.]
Man, what have you been eating? You're heavier than the last time. [He promptly drops poor Garth and is already rambling on before he's even properly looking at Kory and company.]
I don't care what it takes but we're getting the Tower back or else I swear I'll-- [Paaauuuse. Wait, who is this strange man.]
[Garth's got his tiny turtle in his hands - he hopes they don't go without water for long. Garth looks both confused and worried; he hasn't really been able to grasp the situation at hand, exactly.
The moment Wally lets him set his feet on the floor and calls Roy's name, though, the young Aqualad gets distracted by the now adult man.]
Roy!

Kory!
[He waves and comes to hug her, but then stops in his tracks.]
Wow. You're... you look a lot... younger than I remember?
[He scratches his head nervously.]

[Well, he doesn't mind the hugging if she started it. He'll hug right back, in fact.]
Huh. Okay, I guess that... makes sense? Have you been here long?
[He gives her a last squeeze, then pats her back in that universal 'it's time to let go' gesture.]

Damn, that's a while. [He sighs and mutters to himself.] Lian's gonna be so mad if I'm home too late for her to tell me about the penguins...
Okay, so since there's no way out right now... who else is affected? I met Dick over this [waves the comm] thing, but are there more of us?

Tim... yeesh. What is with the Bats and the need to go full-psycho? They never do things by halves.
[He scratches his head awkwardly, then sighs.]
Should we try going over there to talk some sense into him?

Well, if that's all we can do, then that's what we're going to do. Wanna gimme a lift, or am I gonna end up taking the bus over?
[It's a weak joke, but Dick's not around to pull up the wisecracking standard, so Roy figures he's safe.]

Of course I'll be happy to give you a lift.
[Checking the comm again.]
I'll have to send an update to Kid Flash on our location, he's going to meet up with us... hopefully with Aqualad...

This's gonna be one hell of a story to be telling when I get back home, that's for sure.
[He smiles up at her.]
We going?
