She leaned forward across the table, one hand's slender fingers sliding up to cup his chin, breathing in his last words as the spilled over his lips. It's too intimate to be friendly but a tease and nothing more, her mouth a few inches from his and her eyes commanding his gaze to meet her own.

"Now, who in their right mind could say no to that."

She slips her hand down his throat, gentle pressure on his jugular, her smooth palm against the grain of of his fresh-shaven face.

"You are so... unique. Your little head with all this minds tucked inside, forty nine lives, sets of experiences, hearts, souls, consciousnesses. It's like having a library instead of just one book to read." she smiles with her hand on his chest, feeling his pulse pound under her touch. "I look so forward to getting to know all of you."

She slides back then, pushing him gently back into his seat and easing back into her own to take another drink of gin.

"Consider yourself... hired as it were my dear. Now, your turn, tell me about this 'reprogramming' you're talking about."

His breath hitched as though his airway had suddenly become obstructed when the touch landed itself upon his cheek. Then, Alpha leaned into it -- the trail of her hand causing a tingle to rise to his skin and the bumps that rose over the surface were not something that could be faked. She could take his life and he would have been satisfied so long as she rose. The very way he would have been satisfied if Echo had back home. But she hadn't. And none of that seemed to matter any longer.

As soon as the hand continued its journey downward, his attention lingered upon it. Well, he couldn't help but will it lower, but he didn't say as much. Instead, he looked back up at her...and in that moment, she broke the contact. The disappointment he felt was immeasurable, almost as great as the pride he took in being rewarded such contact in the first place. Alpha smirked, and with a little flourish of his hand, he bowed forward at her praise, "Then consider your goals acheived, my goddess. --Can I call you Omega?"

His eyes veered toward the menu, flipping through it until he made his choice, "The mind is much like a computer. It can be rewired. As we speak, I have already begun to gather the parts that I need to make this possible. Personalities wiped from the insignificant beings and replaced with new and improved ones. They can become what I want. They can become what you want. Anything you want, M'stra...anything..."

"You're welcome to call me whatever you like. I already have many faces." she arched a brow. "Why not also many names?"

Her hand played across her mouth as he spoke about the reprogramming, the backs of her fingers and soft pad of her thumb trailing over her lips - slightly parted in fascination - and her breath coming a little shorter at his words.

She didn't bother sparing a glance to the menu, sure already of what she wanted.

"That's incredible. Is technology here on par with what you need for this? I mean, would it be long in development." Her voice was thick with excitement but she let the show of hunger slide. If he could do what he said he could, and nothing about him smelled of a lie, the possibilities it opened to her were nothing short of incredible.

"I don't need much. So even if it wasn't, I would be able to reassemble it," he clicked his teeth, mimicking a gun with his pointer and thumb and flicking it up once. "Less is more. Eco-friendly, as well. I'm sure eliminating humanity would do wonders for the earth itself. She would redecorate. The birds would sing and animals would live in the trees that sprout from their decomposing bodies. It's all poetic, wouldn't you say, my Omega?"

The corner of his jaw clenched before a moment, and then he leaned forward, "But let's be frank. You seem to possess an ability all your own." He nodded to the waiter who seemed to have been put under M'stra's control. "Is this of your own power or what was bestowed to you upon your arrival? I mean, wouldn't you know? I just learned last night that we are given powers. Us..." he laughed at the prospect. "I guess the machinery must be short-circuiting if it thinks we're heroes. -- I wonder if I could tinker with that to pull more like-minded people over -- regardless, I have yet to awaken mine."

Her eyes go a little wide then.

"Bestowed on...? UGH! That bitch of a machine!" M'stra snorted. "Why she's short changing the rest of us to give powers to people like you! Not doubt it will be all about 'leveling the playing field' or some bullshit like that!"

She blew some of her bangs out of her face with a sigh.

"Forgive me, I'm a little bitter. This" - she snapped her fingers and brought the waiter wheeling toward them again - "has ALWAYS been part of my powers, it's the birthright of my entire race."

"I am born a White Martian, and now I am one of the very last of our kind. Our power and our legacy is in shapeshifting, telepathy, superior strength... but back at home I was even stronger. I could fly without forming wings, I could phase through solid walls. Bullets and the harshest of the elements bounced off me like light of a mirror. Energy beams from my eyes, cold breath, I could tolerate the vaccuum of space for brief periods!"

"You've been built up, and me? I've been torn down to accomodate."

She dropped her hands flat on the table, face twisted in a grumpy irritated sort of expression, not even turning to the waiter when she asked him for her spicy pad thai.

"Still, I should be interested to see what you've gained arriving here, Alpha. I'm sure you'll figure out what you've gotten in exchange for your freedom soon enough."

Alpha regarded M'stra after her outburst, the words were not all that hurtful. It was her anger that was. She shouldn't have to be displeased. Not with anything. He couldn't help himself. Alpha rose from his seat and made his way over to her, kneeling on the ground and clutching her hand. To the unknowing onlooker, it would have been like he was proposing. "No, no, no. You're not less. You're not worse. You're perfect. What you had once before can be yours once again." Alpha rose, still holding her hand. "We can override the system. Lift the limitations. There has to be a way if it had the power to strip it from you in the first place."

His fingers moved forward, gently stroking her pale cheek, "But you! You are above every single existing creature here and it to my fortune that you allow me to even breathe the same air. -- If you build it up, you can't tear it down." He hissed, palm lifting to rest against his forehead speaking at the waiter but not removing his eyes from M'stra. "Tofu Satay." Alpha stepped back from the alien -- goddess -- and straightened his tie. He dropped back onto his side of the booth.

"My power, whatever it may be and whenever it awakens, is yours in the meantime. I'm sure we can find a way to put it to good use, no? It may not be a compensation for what you lost...but you will be restored as soon as I can figure out a way."

She startled a little at his response, the bended knee was... well okay, she'd missed the dramatics of truly being worshipped more than a little. She just watched him, letting a small smile at his theatrics creep across her face until he sat down again finally.

"I'm sure you've been given something fitting for your ambition and loyalty, Alpha." She soothed him, reaching across the table to pat his hands and leveling a rush of calming thoughts across his mind. He got himself so worked up.

"Any assistance in bringing back my missing strengths is much appreciated. But you're right, I shouldn't be so upset when finding out how to restore it all is just a matter of time."

His eyes drifted toward the hand, and even more specifically he noted the change. The soothing effect she had over his personalities -- good lord, no one had ever been able to calm them and silence their screaming. If anything, it just made him all the more loyal. A faint smirk crossed his lips as he flickered his gaze toward her, "And patient too. Is there any virtue you do not possess?"

The glass was snatched up and knocked back. Down the hatch, as they say, and he glanced toward their waiter...circling his hand for a refill. "So let's focus on the more immediate now. The long-term plans are just that. Long-term. Is there anyone you need dead? Anything you need stolen or hacked? While you, m'dear, are capable...why not turn some of the heat off of yourself and direct it to your ever-so-devoted follower?" There was a confidence about his voice. A confidence that he wouldn't be caught. And even if he was caught, he could work with the situation.

"I will warn you in advance that there is a slight hiccup from my world. A girl -- Whiskey. She touched me and stole....pieces."

"There's a team - the X-Men - some of their members were involved in killing me the first time. Cyclops, Archangel, a number of others. They are willing to kill but moreover they know my weakness, how to hurt me. I need them either dead, or altered to force them to forget how to hurt me. I'd PREFER their deaths, but they have angered me so quite honestly I need them to suffer first."

She swirled her drink in it's glass before sipping again.

"I want to know everything you can find out about them. Who they're close to, how to hurt them, whatever you can dig up that I can use to make them suffer until I get to kill them."

"Then there's my protection. I have a peice of property where I'm staying with my chala. We need better security - cameras in the house, that sort of thing - and to change all the locks on the house. It's owners won't be coming back but I haven't bothered to see if they had family in the area who might drop by."

She sets her glass down, eyebrows raised at his comments about 'Whiskey'.

"...stole pieces? Like, of your mind?"

Alpha had to smirk. The thought of torture was always a nice one, filled him with warmth on the inside -- a wonderous, murderous warmth. "Pit them against each other, turn them into their own enemy. I could arrange quite the spectacular stage show for you, my Omega..." But finding out the information she wanted would be a simple matter. The ones who weren't up to par with their encryption could be hacked and information stolen. He could use others as bait to obtain what he wanted. There were unlimited ways -- he just needed to finish his tech first.

"Revamping your security if doable. By the time I'm done, no one would be able to get through to you. All I need to know is whether you prefer severed limbs or impaled bodies before I go about rigging it," he smiled over at her as casually as if he was speaking about some good television program he'd watched the other night. Alpha turned to his drink once again, raising it before tilting it back to swallow the contents down. Back to Whiskey, his expression darkened for a moment.

"Yes. I don't know what. I can't remember. But I think that's because that's what she stole. Of course, this begs the question -- how much of me can she take before she goes mad? How much of anyone can she take before she goes mad?" He thought for a moment. "You know, we should work with that."

"Well, such a question surely begs an answer. You find her and I'll do what I can to deal with her, Alpha. Sorting out her weak little human mind should be of no consequence. Memory snatchers don't tend to fare well against telepaths."

She raised her glass, nodding toward him. "Alright then, I would say we have an arrangement don't we? A toast then. To our success."

Alpha smirked. Oh, he loved the way M'stra's mind worked. Then again, he loved every part of her. It was actually safe to say that he was in love with her. He dreamt of the day when he would make a goddess to stand by his side, little did he realize that she didn't have to be made. And as a matter of fact, she could never stand by his side...but only above. As she proposed the toast, he lifted his glass to clink hers.

"To your success and my aid in such. I will never be the one to take the glory from your accomplishments, my Omega..."
