[Jono had gotten to the Institute early; the debrief hadn't started yet, as most people hadn't arrived. Uncomfortable with being at the Institute - even here, in the City, where it wasn't really the Institute at all - Jono wanders the halls relatively unnoticed, debates waiting outside, and then stumbles across the gym.

Better than a deserted classroom, but unlikely to have anyone in it: Jono opens the door to the gym and walks through before realizing that he is not, in fact, alone.]

[ It isn't longer after Sam leaves her that she continues her rampage against the punching bags. Most of her anger is lifted, however, and punching bag number two is faring much better. She is concentrating deeply, more on form than power, and therefore doesn't notice the door opening or who is walking through it. ]

[Jono instinctively raises his arm to block Monet, but she stops just in time, and a good thing too; he wouldn't have been able to stop her, if she hadn't. He shrugs, hands in pockets once again.]

Not long ago. The debrief's not ready to start yet, so I was looking for a place where I wouldn't run up against any ruddy X-types.

That's gonna need some patching up before I can actually help you with combat. Although I think Jono was trying to make a point before I came in.
