Eeh? [Yuugi didn't expect anyone to call him by name around this part of the City. He stops walking and glances back over by the coffee shop, noticing Juudai with relative ease. Thankfully all the crazy hair manages to make people stand out.

Who is he? Yuugi knows he's seen him before, but can't place where yet.]

Oh, uh... ...Hey! [He waves a little.]

[Juudai trots up to him, grinning wildly... not to mention trying hard to suppress fanboy instincts.]

Oh, er, whoops! I should probably introduce myself, right? Haha, sorry.

I'm Yuuki Juudai! I know we dueled once before, but I don't know if you remember because it was under really weird circumstances.

QUICK IS YUUKI JUUDAI'S LAST NAME... ... Older Yuugi just referred to him as "Yuuki Juudai" so...

Haha, I think so, yeah! You're actually pretty famous where I'm from, so it's really cool meeting you personally...!

[He tries his damnedest not to squee out loud. Even though he got a good image of Yuugi just through their duel, it's still something else meeting him in person and having the time to talk this time. And even if Yuugi himself doesn't remember it, he thinks, there's still things he can show him to prove his story.]

Famous..? Aha... ha... Really? Me? I haven't really done anything. [He waves his hands as a way to dismiss the topic about himself.]

[He reaches behind him and takes his deck out of the holder, at the same time feeling a sense of deja vu. If it's someone like Yuugi, he's not particularly shy about showing his deck.]

I went to Duel Academia and everything, hehe!

OH MAN IT IS DEJA VU ISN'T IT haha, whoops...

Duel Academia, eh..? [Something about Juudai's deck seems off to Yuugi somehow, but he dismisses it. He looks at the first card in Juudai's deck.]

Huh. I've never seen that monster before. ...Hm. [He takes his own deck out of his jacket pocket, and removes it from it's own holster.]

Yeah, it was a school founded by Kaiba-san! There's a bunch of sister schools too, in other regions of the world.

Oh, well, that's not really surprising, ehehe... but I have one that might look more familiar! [He fans his deck out and plucks Hane Kuriboh from the array, turning it around to show Yuugi with a grin.] Maybe?

[Whao there, schools funded by Kaiba? He makes an odd look at the thought of that but shrugs it off. Schools for card games somehow sounds more logical than theme parks of death.]

Winged Kuriboh..? [He grins, and soon shuffles the deck, immediately draws Kuriboh from the top.] Of course it looks familiar!

Haha, I knew it! [Juudai can feel his little partner's spirit watching. It hasn't quite made its presence known, but it's certainly paying attention at the moment.] I had a feeling it would be one way or another. Either you'd recognize it because it's a Kuriboh, or... well, the thing is, this card was given to me by you. Or some version of you, anyway. So I thought maybe you'd recognize it even if it wasn't technically you who did it.

[He scratches his head at his own words.] ...Argh, that concept's kind of confusing.

Yeah... it is. [Juudai completely lost Yuugi there. He'll just grin and slide Kuriboh back into his deck now.]
