To say the least, Scathach was feeling refreshed after feeding. She had been reluctant to, yes, but it had probably been for the best. Alex had seemed upset, but there was nothing she could do about that--he had to sort out his own problems, with his own feelings. Having her just take them away wouldn't have done any good, because then she would have known just how tangled and messed up they were.

And to tell the truth, she was almost frightened of that.

The redhead had arrived at the Institute early on Sunday to start planning her next lesson. She figured it was about time she made up a strict regime for her students to follow so they could stay healthy. Swinging by the kitchen first for a snack, she paused in the doorway as she saw a woman there, already rummaging around, presumably searching for food. A slightly amused look crossed Scatty's face; she did not know this woman, but she immediately struck her as someone who took charge of things.

Silently stepping towards the countertop and the ever-present bowl of fruit, she took an apple, before turning her attention back to the woman. "Good morning," she said lightly.

Lucinda would be lying if she said she didn't get a slight fright out of a statuesque woman suddenly piping up behind her (If her hair turned slightly whiter, she didn't notice). She turned with a whisk in her hand and a smile slowly forming on her face. "G'mornin', girl. Can't say Ah recognize ya from the roster, sorry. Breakfast should be ready in the hour though."

The elder's aptitude for defense was certainly impressive; not many people would have immediately gone to defend themselves before screaming or something of the sort. "My name is Scathach--Scatty," she corrected herself. It was always just easier to introduce herself by her nickname to people newly met. "I teach combat skills here." She paused for a moment before offering: "Do you require assistance?"

"Scath-ack? Now ain't that a mouthful," she chuckled, turning around to tend to her egg yolk. "So you're a teacher here. That's good. My boy just popped the news to me that he's a professor now. Ah'm mighty proud though Ah never suspected he to be teachin' anybody. The boy sometimes got his head in the clouds if you know what I mean. Do we got oranges?"

This caught Scatty's interest, and she set her apple down to grab a few oranges and take them to the woman. She didn't really know much about the other teachers' families, except for Scott and Alex's, and the idea intrigued her. "Who is your son?" she asked curiously, holding the fruits out to her.

"Ah've got two boys in this institute--Sammy and Joshua (Put those oranges over there. Do we got a juicer in this kitchen?). My girl, Paige, is livin' with a friend though Ah'm tryin' with all my might to get her back here. Just ain't right for her to be off by herself in this strange place." Lucinda was doing everything at once and doing a fine job of multi-tasking in the kitchen. "

Sammy and Joshua? The names didn't sound very familiar, but she was sure she would figure out exactly who they were in time. Paige, however, was a name she had heard mentioned a few times. They were all siblings, then? How interesting. Scathach set the fruit down and began rummaging through a drawer, searching for said juice. "It does seem as if it would be nice to have your family together."
