[Prowling around the Institute grounds wearing jeans, boots, and the gloves/scarf Mrs. Altman gave her for Christmas, mostly for show. Trying to avoid staying in one place so the snow doesn't melt into disgusting water. She's looking for a victim!]

[Scott was wandering around the area, keeping close to the actual building. Not only was it the high ground by it meant he only had to look for a snowball in 180 degrees.

He had stressed he wasn't part of the "exercise" but he knew that would only encourage people to attack him.]

[She spots him a bit away, and ducks behind a tree. She doesn't know whether or not he's seen her already, but she scoops some snow into her hands and rolls it into a ball. Taking a deep, unnecessary breath, she rolls out from behind the tree and throws that snowball at him like a beast.]

Maggie walked up to the Institute, dressed in her coat and mittens. She hadn't quite noticed everything as it was set up yet, as her face was buried in a book about the architectural concepts behind igloo building.

Jean had conversed with Hank briefly before they'd joined the others outside and she was confident that it had been enough time for him to come up with a fully realized schematic for their fort. He could pack a lot of snow in a very short period of time, and there was just enough sunshine to make the snow smooth easily into blocks. Working together, it only took them half an hour to finish.

The fort itself stood six feet tall with enough room for the two of them inside, plus anyone else who decided to join. There were no viewholes, but a packed set of steps that led up to parapet on which Jean could perch and command their defense strategy while Doctor McCoy took it upon himself to ready their snowball ammunition.

(ooc: yes, I'm assuming participation by Hank, cleared with the husband as he's working til midnight. feel free to attack at will!)

Calvin is wearing a plastic army helmet, wielding a pointer stick, and has a roll of crayon blueprints under his arm. "All right everyone, listen up! We are going to turn this two-bit hunk of a school into the most impregnable defensive position known to man! I've made copies of the design for everybody, so I don't want to hear any excuses for putting a turret in the wrong place." He paces back and forth, handing out schematics. They are... elaborate. "Let's try to get both the inner and outer walls up as fast as possible so we'll have time to pay proper attention to the moat and to make as much ammunition as we can! Remember, you're all gonna be using this fort for cover when we're through, so consider yourselves motivated to do a good job! Any questions?"
