Ichigo and the Hollow had been going at it for almost the entire three days straight. Little rest, fewer breaks and maybe a pizza and a pot of coffee between the two of them. Hichigo wasn't tired. He could run on fumes for days, weeks. But Ichigo...well, the Hollow could feel his other growing weaker, tired. But he didn't say anything. If Ichigo wanted to stop and rest, he'd say something... right?

[hollowish]

It had been three days, and the zombies were still coming from everywhere, and there were ones that were even stronger, that could run and attack intelligently. But even those weren't a threat to Ichigo or his hollow. Each singly zombie that even came near them was cut down before it even got close.

A good time to rest never really came up. Hiyori and the Hollow were having their contest, and Ichigo wasn't about to let his other half just fight all of these things alone. If the Hollow was bitten, then they would both probably become zombies, and he wouldn't let that happen.

However, even though he had reiatsu to spare, which had kept him in the fight for this long. He could feel Zengetsu getting heavier, his cuts having less force, sometimes making it so he needed to cuts to stop a zombie, and his getsuga tenshou was getting smaller and weaker over time.

He didn't stop though, he wasn't going to let the Hollow run around on his own.

"How many does this make?" He asked, his breathing sounding more labored.

[holeheart]

"One hundred and thirty four!" Slice. Smash. Smack. "Wait, wait, hundred and thirty seven! Heehehe!! This is too much fun!"

[hollowish]

"One hundred thirty-eight... One hundred thirty-nine." His swings were getting slower, less coordinated. He tried to use getsuga tenshou again, but it didn't work this time, so he settled on just slashing at the oncoming zombies.

[holeheart]

"One hundred forty!" The hollow cackled and jumped into the air, facing an oncoming horde. "GETSUGA TENSHOU!!" The white energy blast had only waned a bit since he started this mess 3 days ago.

"One hundred and fifty... two."

[hollowish]

Damn hollow, Ichigo thought to himself as the other jumped up and used their attack just as easily as last time. The hollow still had energy to spare, but Ichigo...

He cleared the latest swarm of zombies before falling down on one knee, his vision blurring.

[holeheart]

The hollow didn't notice. Well, not until he had cleared out another five zombies. Then he turned around when he noticed a lack of Ichigo whining.

"What's wrong with you!"

[hollowish]

Ichigo couldn't see, his vision fading, and even though he could he heard the hollow speaking to him, he couldn't register what was being said.

"Shit..." Before he could respond, he passed out and fell to the ground, too exhausted to continue.

The hollow blinked, then tilted his head. He was confused and kicked Ichigo in the side lightly. "Iccchiiiiiiii. Icccchiiiiiiii-niiiiii. Hey!" A much harder kick, "Wake up!!"

Ichigo didn't wake up. The Hollow kneeled next to his other and shook him. "Dammit, we're gonna get killed out here!! We need to go! You need to wake up!" The Hollow began to panic a little. This wasn't good, this wasn't good. He didn't want to die out here, he needed to get Ichigo somewhere..

Then the chain connecting them became violently clear, glowing brightly and visibly for all to see. The two twins then glowed brightly, completely engulfed in black and red light.

Then the two forms moved together and began to reshape. A tail, claws, long hair.

What was left was a dragon-like bipedal monster, which roared in a reverberating voice.
