She'd been in the City for six, maybe seven hours, though the time seemed to stretch much longer than that. She was terrified - she was beyond terrified. She was always such scaredy cat about creepy things like this. Ghosts and monsters and dead things; it had been a long time since she would break down and start crying at being attacked by unexpected monsters, but being alone was the worst.

Bunny had hoped that this was just another illusion, but no matter how many times she tried blasting her way out, the world around her held steady, and the monsters just kept coming.

She had to keep taking breaks, the power of the Silver Imperium Crystal wavering under the weight of her own worry, her own energy zapped from whatever was responsible for pulling her to this "City" in the first place. But there was to be no real rest - not until the Enemy was defeated.

And so, with her fingers aching around the handle of her Moon Scepter, her throat almost hoarse with the prolonged shouting required to activate its power, Bunny continued jogging down city streets for the source of the scourge, but an unusual sight stopped her in her tracks.

A strange green man, with an even stranger green gun, shooting zombies with what looked to be even stranger green bullets. He didn't look like he needed help, but.

It was very strange.

SO MUCH JESUS HERE. LET ME HELP WITH THAT. HAVE A SAINT. hope_damnit October 31 2009, 20:59:16 UTC
"You have an interesting choice of constructs, Kyle."

It hadn't taken long, but Saint Walker had indeed discovered that the power of hope he wields no longer comes from his ring -- but from himself now. In a way, this is all the more pleasing, but in honor to the Guardians, he continues to wear it.

He holds out his hands, blue light emerging as he forms chains and bonds to the zombies. Walker purposefully does not kill them, but he does not prevent Kyle from doing as he must.

There is a pause, and he notices the woman with the unique hairstyle down below.

"Excuse me! Are you all right?" Saint Walker calls down to her.

And, somehow, the strange green man with the strange green shotgun had an even stranger companion. She didn't notice him immediately, her attention more focused on the then blue-chained zombies, but her focus shifted easily.

His features were not precisely easy to determine, but to Bunny's eyes, he did not appear remotely human. Another enemy?! she thought, hand tightening on the Heart Moon Scepter. But... he bound up those monsters. Perhaps he was an ally?

Or perhaps it was a trap.

"I'm all right!" she called back, trying to keep her eyes on both the alien and the zombies both. "Are you?!"

Kyle smiled at Saint Walker's comment.

"I get that a lot," he said, concentrating and summoning up a few ninjas to go about skewering zombies through the head. "By the way, you do know that they're not alive, right? I mean... while I'm against desecrating corpses, this is kind of extreme, you don't have to - "

He paused. Oh god, it was Sailor Moon. Oh god she was standing right there oh man, the 90's. Granted, Kyle had always been more into the shounen stuff - Gundam, Outlaw Star, and the like - but dude, it was Sailor Moon.

Thankfully, years of working with superheroes (also childhood idols) had taught him not to stare.

Oh man she was talking to Saint Walker. Okay.

"We're fine," he replied. "At least, I am. Walker, you good?"

"I'm aware," Walker replies softly to Kyle. "I don't mind holding them down until you give them the final blow. Call it a simple matter of preference is all. I will defend myself if I must, though."

The Blue Lantern continues with his constructs, forming blockades or cages to keep them trapped until someone else can handle them. True, they are not alive, but it feels best to wait and let someone else who has less qualms about it destroy them and put them to rest.

He nods to the woman in the mini-skirt, smiling gently. "Yes, I'm fine. Thank you both for asking."

TL;DR SORRY sparklejesus November 3 2009, 02:20:09 UTC
Bunny was momentarily distracted by the constructs, almost-illusions of structures and humans both containing and destroying the zombies. While the man in green's creations were the more effective method of destroying the creatures, the sheer violence of it made Bunny feel somewhat sickened. She had, of course, been destroying more than her fair share of the zombies until that point, her own attacks would nigh unto instantly incinerate the monsters, leaving nothing but ash behind.

Even decayed, the zombies still looked human - and as such, blows and the like seemed too much like hurting people. After all, they had been human, once, and even now still almost sounded human. Just like Hotaru's father. All that remained now was a shadow of those former lives; although zombies looked nothing like them, they really were just like daimons.

Unable to stop herself, Bunny aimed her Heart Moon Scepter at one of the as-of-yet unbound groupings of zombies and, voice hoarse from hours of the same, she shouted her attack.

The attack was unlike the ones that were depicted in the animated series about her, of which Bunny still had no knowledge. There were no sparkles or ribbons, and certainly no ten foot tall giant heart to slam into an individual enemy. Instead, a bright white light shot out of the scepter and overtook a cluster of zombies, the light nearly blinding in intensity.

In only a moment, the light faded, leaving the street several zombies short of a horde, though many still remained. Bunny wobbled where she stood, arms hanging limply at her sides.

Whether or not the help was truly needed or even wanted was not something she paused to consider.

WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE OLESIA?! shinygreenjesus November 4 2009, 04:01:50 UTC
Well, that was different than the show Kyle remembered, but honestly? It was kind of cooler.

... and then she looked so tired afterwards. Geez...

Kyle put up a barrier (unconsciously, it ended up a trellis hung with moonflowers. Good job, Kyle's subconscious. Of course, it was still stronger than steel, so those zombies would have a time getting through, but...) and walked over to the young girl.

"Hey, are you okay?" he asked, genuine concern in his voice. At this point, he wasn't even thinking about her being Sailor Moon - here, she was just another poozer (of a sort, anyway) looking a little overwhelmed.

Of course, that barrier of his was a little one-sided, and one of the zombies in white seemed to be running up from behind...
