Kyon waited just inside the Blockbuster for Aigis, trying to look rather distinctly bored as he eyed the American movies that they were playing. Presumably, he could have gotten a head start on Aigis and looked through the romance section on his own for something for them to watch, but that would have been. Awkward. Besides, he was lazy.
More than that, though-- not that he'd ever admit it-- working on Haruhi's movie had given him some interest in the actual film-making process: the choice of angles, shots, soundtracks, special effects, and so on, and ever since, he had, to his chagrin, found it harder to enjoy movies because he was busy technically dissecting them. Another thing Haruhi had ruined for him. But still, he watched the movies they played to entice customers to buy or rent on the screens-- it was as good a way to pass time as any while he waited.
