Starscream did not so much walk into Dancitron as saunter. He did, after all, own half of the establishment, even if it was only in an administrative position (after all, he had to run StarWave Industries). He was dressed in a snappy white suit with pale silver pinstripes, paired with a red dress shirt, golden tie, blue gloves and blue shoes, complete with a black fedora. Somehow, he made the look work, and work well.

The bouncers didn't even bother to card him, simply giving him the slightest of nods. He easily crossed the dance floor, slipping through the dancing revelers like a silver snake before sliding over to the bar.

"High grade energon, if you would," he said. In truth it was a code word for a drink - a neon pink concoction in a cube-shaped glass, complete with a glowing ice cube inside. The drink had just the slightest lacings of jalapeno syrup to give it a kick.

He sat back and watched the crowd, eyes glowing faintly in the darkness.

Well, that entrance was hard to ignore. Alastair glanced at whoever had bumped into him to see that they had moved out of the way of the newcomer. A bit of a smurk curved his lips; that had to be one of the 'bots. Ostentatious abuse of human clothing design? Oh yes.

The next song in the set happened to be one that annoyed him, so he eased out of the crowd and left the dance floor, wanting to go up and meet this guy. As Alastair came closer, the glowing eyes were the cincher. He figured his guess was safe. "And you must be Starscream..."

"Indeed," he said, sipping his drink. "And you must be Alastair, yes?"

The song was slightly irritating to him as well. "Must not be Soundwave tonight. He generally has far better taste..."

"That's right," Alastair smirked before leaning over the bar and flagging the guy down for a bottled water. Not that he really needed to behave himself, but he was simply thirsty. "Eh, I bet not even Soundwave can sit and DJ for hours on end every single night. No matter how much he loves the music."

"You know, I think if he did not have other obligations, he would probably try," mused Starscream, leaning back against the bar to better watch the crowd. "In truth his spark has always been more with music than with anything else..."

Well, that and being a nosy slagger. And making other people miserable.

With bottle in hand, Alastair turned and leaned beside him, though not too close, giving the crowd a glance of his own. "Is he here at all tonight? You know, not that I care," he quickly added. "I'm just curious."

He paused and gave Starscream's suit a once-over. At least Bakura didn't have to worry about being out of place in his goth shirt, compared to that.

"I don't believe he is, no," said Starscream. "I'm not quite certain what business he has, but likely it's important."

"And of course you don't care," he added with a smirk.

At the glance directed at his clothes, he frowned, but did not say anything. His fashion choices were his own; and by Primus he could wear his natural colors if he slagging well pleased.

"Of course not," Alastair agreed with a smirk. "I was just considering the suggestion you gave me about dragging him out of a certain closet. Heh."

He took a deep gulp of the water and lounged there for a bit, catching his breath. "So I take it you won't be getting out there on the dance floor anytime soon. Shame. It's fun."

Starscream snickered at that suggestion. "Yes, absolutely. If we can get him cornered sometime..."

He raised an eyebrow at the latter comment, then polished off his drink.

"Actually... let me see."

Starscream pulled out his cell phone, then started texting something.

"Suggest a song. If I text the DJ, well, he knows who I am," he said with a smirk. "I prefer techno and electronica, but anything will do..."

"Oh yeah?" Texting the DJ a request sounded like a fabulous idea. Alastair leaned over as if to watch Starscream type. "I'd be impressed if he had anything German or Czech...or maybe something happier. Something from vanDahl maybe." He was still catching up on ten years' worth of club music, but some of the old favorites never went out of style.
