[Mary's walking down the corridor, in between classes and feeling a little hungry. It's unfortunate that she keeps getting a little lost in the gargantuan mansion, but she's better now than when she first came here.]

[There's a familiar face! Alison approaches her, tapping her on the shoulder.]

[Mary's startled, but is very pleased to see Ms. Alison there!] Oh! Miss Alison!! You surprised me! How are you?

[Alison nearly shakes her head at the greeting. How many times has she told this girl to call her just "Alison"?] I'm pretty good, Mary; just a little bored. How are you?

[Mary doesn't notice.] Oh, I'm doing very well! I'm in between classes right now, so I thought I'd get a little snack, but I seem to have gotten myself turned around again. I usually have a good sense of direction, but this place can be kind of confusing, and I guess I wasn't really paying attention!

I know it pretty okay, Mary. I'm here a lot. Do you want me to help you out?

Oh, would you mind terribly? I'd sure like the company, too!

Mhmm! Now where do you want to go?

I didn't really have a specific location in mind! I hoped there might be a vending machine or something nearby.

Well I don't know about that, but we can always sneak into the kitchen, honey.

Oh! Can we? I mean, gosh, I thought that the kitchen was for the people who lived here!

Well my boyfriend lives here and pays for a lot of the stuff. I can sneak us in.

[She grins.]

Oh! But... I don't want to be rude or anything!

You won't be! You're with me, honey. Come on.

[She puts an arm around Mary's shoulder and tries to lead her toward the kitchen.]

Well, if you're sure... [Obediently follows Allison's lead] I've never actually been to this part of the mansion before! I try to just stay where I have classes because gosh, I don't want to accidentally walk into someone's room or anything.

[She laughs.] Well, I get that! But if you make enough friends around the place, they don't mind. The X-men are usually friendly.
