[Logan, for once, is in the mansion. he's making a sandwich in the kitchen: keeping up a healing factor is hungry work.]

[Alison pokes her head into the kitchen, pleasantly surprised at who's sitting there.]

Hey Wolvie.

[heavymetalclaws]

[she gets a grunt in reply.]

It's nice to see you too, honey.

[She approaches him happily. It's been awhile since she's last seen him.]

[he glances up at her, then returns his attention to his sandwich.]

Blue asleep?

Totally passed out on me. He didn't even go to work today!

[another grunt.]

So how are you, Logan?

Tired. You seen this? [he taps the newspaper lying next to his elbow. it's open to an article about Osborn's Avengers team, complete with color photographs.]

[Oh, great. The Avengers. Greattt. She raises her eyebrows at the article.] Yeah, I saw it. I don't really get what that stuff's about, though.

[heavymetalclaws]

[he glances up at her.] In my time, they got an X-Men team, too. Runnin' around like they own the joint. [he looks at the newspaper, scowling. there's an old, heavy anger in his voice, like a weight he's been carrying for a long time.] The real heroes are in hidin' or fightin' for their lives 'cause they don't want to end up doin' time with the people they helped put away. [he grunts and flips the newspaper closed.] Like I said, I'm tired.

[Oh, wow. Alison really doesn't know what to say to that. She's not too surprised something like this could happen, but still.] Oh. [She tucks her hair behind her ear.] I can see why you'd be. [A pause] Any sign of another X-men team here?

[heavymetalclaws]

Nah. But smart money says Osborn ain't gonna wait for the grass to grow. [Logan pushes out a breath and scowls absently at his sandwich. almost as an afterthought, he picks it up and takes a bite, flicking his gaze back over at Alison. forces himself to think of something to say that isn't depressing as all hell.]

So you and Blue, huh?

Great...[If it isn't one thing in this place, it's another. She watches him carefully as he talks to her, wondering just for a moment how bad the future is. How bad home is. But he changes the subject so she just goes with it.]
