WHO: Tommy Shepherd
quicktothepoint, and OPEN. (but not exclusive to one character!)
WHERE: Probably on the outskirts of the City. He's hanging around less busy places.
WHEN: This (late) afternoon.
WARNINGS: tba
SUMMARY: Tommy's been having a pretty crappy couple of weeks. He's got no idea what to do about the Wanda business and it's landed him a couple of fights with his teammates, so he's sort of shut himself out and decided to try to escape from the awkward environment back at the house. RANDOM RUNNING AROUND AND DOING USELESS THINGS ALL DAY ENSUE. He saves a person or two along the way, but that's irrelevant.
FORMAT: Anything you prefer, but I'll reply to quicklog faster (WHOA) THIS FIRST PART IS TL;DR THOUGH I'M SORRY basically he's been running and then stops to baww about what's on his mind the end.
Tommy stopped. He stood still for a quiet moment; the dust settling on the ground, returning to its original stillness. Hands were placed on his hips as he glanced at scenery before him, ending in a stream of roads that kept going on and up until the horizon. The sky was getting darker, the wind was picking up - gently but steadily.
Giving his hair a gentle shake off his face, he brought a hand up and placed his fingers on orange goggles, sliding them up to rest above his forehead. There was a small rub of his eyes, then his hand slided to the back of his neck. Running always helped him clear his mind - and considering the city he was in, he always ended up bumping into something to do, whether it be preventing smaller crimes from happening, or bumping into a new place he hadn't checked out yet (or even finding a cute young lady to start a conversation with).
The fact, though, was that he was doing nothing but avoiding the issues on the back of his mind. It wasn't any surprising that Tommy was anything but afraid of confrontation. His attitude and proneness to speaking his mind and going against others was known for getting him into trouble more often than not. This time, though? It was about him and his teammates. He didn't really have any illusions about his part in the team: he clearly wasn't as attached or united as the rest of them, so there was no mystery as to why he felt uncomfortable whenever they decided to push into - what he thought - were his personal matters. The deal with a Wanda-that-wasn't-his-real-mother had thrown things off for him and the others, namely with Billy and Teddy.
Needless to say things back home were awkward. Tommy hated it, but he wasn't about to walk up to anybody and offer an apology. Maybe it was pride, or just plain insecurity when it came to these matters - perhaps a mix of both.
But for now, he was just gonna try to avoid it as much as this place would allow him.
