Shockwave was out of the lab, taking a break, stretching his legs, getting some fresh air. How unpleasant. Not to mention the requirement of wearing contacts to turn his eyes green, instead of their natural (or unnatural for humans) yellow. Organic bodies required too many breaks, and were it up to him, he'd be locked up in the lab for days just working. So much time had been wasted going to Oregon, though that trip did save him from the processor ache that was the Godzillia incident. But it had also kept him from being in the lab. Hn ( ... )

Bumblebee's attention was suddenly snapped away from the music and his wandering thoughts by the impact of another body into his own. Given that the other person was taller than him and heavier, it naturally sent the small blonde stumbling across the pavement. He managed to right himself before he could fall and turned around, blue eyes focusing on the one who had barged into him.

He was halfway to making a rude gesture when he noticed the human was reading a book, obviously the reason why he hadn't seen Bumblebee while he was walking. It was still annoying though, when beings of your own race twice your size could avoid stepping on you, you'd think humans would be more adept at it with their smaller size. But then their senses were more limited than a Cybetronians, as Bumblebee kept being reminded.

So he cancelled the finger and tilted his head, an annoyed look painted on his face as he held his arms up in what he saw as a 'watch where you're going' gesture. Hopefully it translated across.

The scientist staggered back slightly, more out of surprise than the actual impact. How foolish of him, he hadn't been paying attention when he should have been. "Hn. Sorry," his flat, monotone voice rang out. Shockwave had a very distinct voice, or at least one easy enough to be used to identify him.

Strange. He raised a brow slightly, as the other made a gesture. Normally an incident like this would have resulted in the organic shouting and cursing at him. And yet, this one. Simply looked annoyed.

[ooc→ Yesums. The only thing that would really identify him as a Con would be his lab coat, but he barely ever wears that, especially not outside. Or his purple hair + yellow eyes, but he's got his contacts so yeah. Nothing to really signal that he's a Con... Until he opens his mouth. XD Darn that monotone voice of his.]

He pursed his lips before nodding in acceptance of the apology automatically, until his mind caught up on the sound of the other's voice. It was only a few syllables, but it sounded odd coming from a human mouth. Should he really be surprised though in a city like this? Considering all the different kinds that he'd become aware of in his brief time here.

Something made him twitch though, like a silent alarm bell, honed by millenia in the battlefield. He scratched the back of his head, giving this man with his strange coloured hair a curious look.

[[ooc: okay cool, 'Bee has a small Autobot symbol on his sleeve if Shocky wants to notice that :3]]

He spotted the white haired human coming towards him, quirking his head with mild interest at what he was carrying. It looked somewhat damaged, which given what had happened to the city at the start of the week wasn't surprising. Maybe he was scavenging, a post battle activity Bumblebee was familiar with.

With its damaged state it wasn't surprising that the bag split open at the weight inside, sending small brightly coloured objects rolling every which way. Bumblebee immediately moved forward as the human started to chase after them, looking distressed. The blonde started bending to pick up scattered pieces himself, his innately helpful nature coming to the forefront.

After he gathered up every piece he could find he stepped forward, holding them out to the other boy with a smile on his face.

Bumblebee nodded, gesturing around with a questioning look. Silently asking if that was all of them or if they'd missed anything, having been doing nothing specific he was happy to help out.

Continuing his walk, with music steadily playing along in his ears - where was that coming from? - Bumblebee spotted a young human standing by herself on the street. As far as he knew, finding a child alone in a place like this wasn't normal for human culture, so he was curious why she was there. Maybe like him she'd been brought to the city, and without her carers. Or she was a civilian who was lost.

The blonde carried on up the street, giving her a wave in greeting, blinking as he thought he saw the movement of something small about her feet for a second. He shook his head, deciding he must have been seeing things.

He smiled and bounced a little on his feet, an indication he was good so far as he was concerned. Though his attention was soon stolen in fascination at the small butterfly that appeared as if from nowhere and landed in her hair.

Bumblebee pointed it out, wondering if she hadn't noticed. Humans had curious reactions to the insects on their planet, ranging from annoyance to ouright panic.

Blackarachnia really did spend too much time in her lab. The only reason she wasn't in her lab at the moment was because she had just left Edna Mode's old shop.

She made sure the door was locked, shifted her bag and began to make her way to her parked car. However the sound of music stopped her. Sure music wasn't anything unexpected out on the streets of the City but when she looked around she couldn't find a source.

Curiosity, as always, got the best of her and she continued to try to find the source. She stepped away from her car and began to follow the music. Eventually she stopped a few feet away from Bumblebee.

Still she couldn't see the source of the music. Or, at least, that's what she thought.

Bumblebee was still listening to it when abruptly it switched a bouncy hip hop tune to a roaring rock song, then a swift burst of something that sounded like Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee, a classical piece he'd found on Earth and enjoyed for obvious reasons. The direction changed and he turned his head a human voice speaking the news rang out for a second and then... cut off.

That was odd, like someone had been rapidly changing stations, but that didn't explain its sudden change in direction. Or so he thought. He shook his head and blinked as he realised he was now facing a dark skinned woman who was gazing curiously at the area where he was standing.

A seconds fidgeting and he raised a hand in greeting, a puzzled look on his face, wondering what she was looking at.

And then there was silence, except for the usual din of the City.

At first she seemed to ignore his greeting. She was busy studying him. Blond hair with black streaks, nothing too uncommon about that. But his eyes. Brilliant blue eyes that were familiar. A frown formed but quickly turned into a small smile.

"Hello." she replied with a small wave of her own.

He smiled in return when she finally did, before gesturing around the area and then at her, that questioning look back on his face. Maybe she'd heard the music as well and that was why she was here, but that didn't explain why she'd been looking so intently at him. It hadn't been here had it? He'd have seen the source.

Bumblebee looked her over in return, dark skin and hair... something sent a prickling up the back of his neck though, even when he'd never seen her before in his life as far as he was aware.
