[Gar's eyes had adjusted to the light fairly well, in a manner of speaking. He was busy moving all of the melty things from the freezer and into the sink. The biggest bummer about the power going out was definitely the fridge and it's failing to keep things frosty and solid.

The knock pulled him away from his chore, though. Raven had said she had a friend coming over. He still had to shuffle carefully to reach the door without tripping or all-out stubbing his toe, but he finally did so successfully and snatched the handle open. Another moment for his eyes to attempt to adjust; the guy was wearing dark clothes with bright blond (white?) hair. Warm clothes, too. Weird.]

Hey, man. What's up? Come on in.

[With no radio playing, no television on, and no buzz of an air conditioner to mask any sounds, Garfield's greeting was easily heard throughout the apartment, including the bedroom Raven had temporarily closed herself off in. It would no longer be the case now, as the door slid open, and the young witch exited - finally free of her 'uniform', and in much more casual, normal clothes instead.

Despite the darkness, the candles that lit the room easily caught the light in her eyes when she saw Malchior's form, a smile almost matching it.]

Malchior! You came after all.

Garfield. It's a pleasure to meet you in person. Raven has told me much about you.

[The dragon stepped inside, smiling politely and amiably, and offered his hand to Beast Boy. They may have never have been on the best of terms, before or currently, but that was no reason not to be civil, especially in front of Raven.]

Raven. I said I would, did I not? It is good to see that you are well.

[Ooh, yeah. Malchior of... Something. He'd talked to him over the Network. Gar wasn't surprised to find him slight and a bit girly-looking; it somehow suited the way that he spoke. He took the offered hand and gave it a proper shake, smiling and quipping.]

Well, I can promise you that I'm really a fabulous guy, no matter what Raven says.

[If he'd been talked about... The thought made him want to squirm, just a little bit. His eye might have glinted, cat-like, as he moved to merge into the background. He still felt like an intruder around here.]

[Raven easily smiled at Malchior's greeting, stepping just to the side to pick up yet another candle, this one in a glass jar. As she set it on the kitchen island with a few other candles she had hunted down, her eyes lifted to Garfield.]

Don't be like that. I've only said pleasant things about you. Even if it's sometimes a struggle to remember them.

[The teasing smile on her face was lighted as she struck a match, the flame casting an orange glow across her face before she lit the candle. A few shakes of the wrist, and the match was out.]

[Malchior arched an amused eyebrow at Raven, and shook Beast Boy's hand. His grip was relatively firm... but it was probably pretty clear to Gar that his physical strength was what his appearance would suggest-- inconsiderable.]

Is there anything I can do to assist?

[He knew that Raven much preferred to handle things such as the candles without the use of magic, longing for a "normal" life, but there were other points on which magic was simply more practical to use, such as the aforementioned items from the freezer]

Ah-ha-ha. I know. I suck. I'm terrible. What're you ever going to do with me? Tsk.

[Gar had returned to the freezer, speaking of it. He popped the top of the milk and sniffed at it, just in case.]

I think I got this. Just a bunch of stuff that's going to get thrown out. Pity, huh?

Do note that I said sometimes, Garfield. Meaning that most the time you actually don't suck and aren't terrible. But I think I will keep you regardless.

[She smiles somewhat in Garfield's direction before heading over to him, investigating some of the food herself.]

... quite a pity. However it probably would have lasted had you not opened the refrigerator doors, given the electricity turned back on after a certain point.

[Her eyes lift to Malchior.]
Luckily this place is cool, despite the air conditioning not running.
