SUMMARY: A meeting that hopefully won't end up breaking out in a fight.  And Crow going to stay with Kiryu & Saitou.  What is this household.

Crow was a bit surprised at himself that he was willing to stay with Kiryu. Sure he had nowhere else to go, but he could have easily made camp somewhere in the city. He just figured that some part of him just wanted to forgive him.

After following the map, he walks around the street corner, and finds Kiryu, who's, much to his shock, looks almost just like back in their Team Satisfaction days. Wat.

"Wha...what the hell?! How are you-"

Kiryu let out a breath he hadn't even known he was holding. It really was Crow. Good.

Although he had a lot more markers than Kiryu remembered. He frowned a little at that. Whether he hated his old team or not, he still didn't like seeing them get into trouble unless it was because of him.

"Hey, Crow~" he said, standing up straight again. He smirked a little at Crow's reaction. "Would you rather I look normal? I actually have my powers that way."

His body tenses, but he keeps a straight face. "I guess Ruka was right about the powers thing after all." He had no idea what powers he could have, but he hoped it wouldn't get him too much trouble.

"Oh, she told you? Good, I don't have to. I hate explaining that stuff."

Kiryu shrugs, still smirking. "Since you know anyway...we Dark Signers can change our appearance to how we looked before we died. I was never told why. The porter decided to limit my powers so I can only use them when I look dead."

He gestured for Crow to follow him and started walking. He'd thought about bringing his bike but it was worth it for such a short distance.

Crow didn't have his bike anyway so it wouldn't have worked too well. He starts following Kiryu. "Somehow I'm not surprised."

Kiryu shifts his sword on his belt and sticks his hands in his pockets. "You got any questions? I've been here for months; I can probably answer them."

God I'm slow. @_@

Crow notices the sword and tenses more. He didn't remember Kiryu ever owning a sword. "If I think of them, I'll let you know."

Nah. It's fine.

Nope, that's a City edition. But he knows how to use it too.

Kiryu is silent for a moment while they walk. A long moment. Finally he sighs and looks away, unsure of what to say now. Well, actually, he knows the gist of what he'll like to say, but damn if it isn't hard to get those words through his brain much less out of his mouth.

He isn't much help either in that department. He just keeps walking until they can reach their destination.

Their destination is a motel, obviously somewhat abandoned, that really doesn't look too different from a few buildings in Satellite, just not quite as close to falling down. They're coming up on the back of it, so Kiryu's re-painted police bike is out in the open not far from the building. Very, very faint music can be heard coming from the roof, but one would have to strain to really hear it.

Kiryu pauses at the edge of the parking lot to look around before continuing toward the motel.

He was fine with it since it felt more like home anyway. He continues to follow him.

Which would be why Kiryu lives here in the first place.

"Saitou and my rooms are pretty obvious," Kiryu said, opening the door and heading in. "They're the ones that have stuff in them. I don't care if you go in my room, but stay out of his."

He kicks a door open as he walks by. "Some of the doors don't work well or are falling off their hinges. Most of the locks don't work. Same as Satellite, really. I set up a kitchen in the lobby area."

Crow moves the door aside as he walks by as well. "Feels like home already."

Kiryu laughs a little at that. "It is home, so far as I'm concerned."

Crow just shrugged. "Until we can go home that is."

Kiryu shakes his head and starts walking again, heading for the stairs. "That isn't my home anymore."
