The cats could tell when she was on edge. They had formed something of a protective ring around the edges of the apartment. The wild cats, Ramus and Luna, had been brought from the warehouse and were sticking close to her.
She certainly didn't look like she was expecting company. Curled up on the sofa in sweatshirt and leggings with a bottle of scotch. But James had seen her in worse states.
