It had been a while since she'd knitted with Zoidberg, and she was excited. Explaining who he was to Kate had been something, but once that was over she was on her way to the warehouse where he lived, knitting bag slung over her shoulder. She was, in fact, already wearing a sweater, but it was certainly nowhere near as colorful or thoughtfully made as the one she would be receiving from her grandmother.

Arriving, she knocked on the warehouse door, smiling, wings moving around beneath her jacket.

Zoidberg scuttled to the door, whooping cheerfully as he slid it open for her. As ever, Bingo was at his heels, come to sniff at the visitor, and the remaining puppies from her litter began barking to say hello.

"Nill! How lovely to see you! What seems to be the trouble?" Zoidberg bellowed, apparently having forgotten that he'd been the one to invite her over. "Please, come inside and let me give you a physical!"

Nill's eyes lit up at the sight of the puppies, and she leaned down to pat one gently on the head. She straightened at Zoidberg's question, giving a silent laugh; she had grown used to his... eccentric nature over the past year or so, and knew that sometimes he easily forgot things. Making her way carefully around the puppies, she shook her head. She was pretty sure she was healthy, though she appreciated the offer.

Zoidberg quickly forgot all about the physical, also distracted by the commotion of the puppies. However, he quickly remembered her purpose in visiting, clapping his claws together to get the attention of all the occupants of the room!

"Ah, yes! It all makes sense again!" He happily declared. "I have a present for you, Little Nill!"

Nill had never had a pet (she didn't count Granny Liza's dog), so seeing the dogs was kind of exciting. She jumped a bit at Zoidberg's clapping, but her eyes went wide when he mentioned a present. It wasn't her birthday anymore, he didn't need to give her anything. But her wings perked up anyway, and a bigger smile made its way to her face.

He scuttled over the the pile of sweaters draped across his shabby little sofa, scooping them up and offering them to Nill. The frills over his mouth dangled and twisted into a happy smile, eyes wide with hope as he waited for her to select her favorite one.

"I knitted one for each of the children of the Network!" He explained cheerfully. "And as my grandchild, you get to choose yours first!"

Curiously, the blonde followed him. She saw the sweaters, and her interest was only piqued more. At the offer, her eyes go wide, and even though the sweaters appear to be more than a bit hideous, she claps her hand with excitement. Letting her knitting bag fall to the ground, Nill rushes over to him, looking at each sweater carefully, wondering which would be best. She looks up at Zoidberg, questioning, wanting his opinion.

Zoidberg could feel himself swelling with mucus and pride, clearly quite pleased by Nill's reaction to his beautiful sweater assortment. Taking his cue from her, he selected the most beautiful sweater from the pile and offered it to her.

"This one would compliment your hair quite nicely!"

Though she isn't quite sure how it'll compliment her, she isn't about to argue. Even if Zoidberg was a little strange sometimes, he was still older than her and likely knew quite a bit more about the world. Immediately, she takes it in her hands and runs her hand over the obviously gaudy design, not caring one bit. She slips it over her other sweater, and though now she might look a bit wider (and warmer), she looks absolutely thrilled with the gift.

"What say you, Nill?" Zoidberg stared at her, glassy, cephalopodian eyes wide in wonderment. "Will this lovely sweater keep you warm for the winter?"

The blonde nods, smoothing the front of her present. It was much brighter than anything she owned, but that was alright; as a present, it was worth so much to her that she didn't even really care what it looked like to other people. To her, it was perfect.
