Pearl had just gotten to the city, and so far she wasn't liking it quite as much as back home. Not that she really knew why she was there or anything yet, but Mr. Nick and Ms. Door (who seemed really nice) were both coming to find her. True to her word, the girl stayed right where she was, looking around for any sign of the defense attorney.
