James can't help the dozy smile creeping to his lips as he stirs awake in the early hours of the morning. It's warm, comfortable and right now he's entirely sated from the night before, stretching an arm above his head languidly and exhaling a soft yawn.
He never bothered with Christmas, not since he was a child. It all seemed set in useless traditions, tacky falsities and materialism, all of which he avoided frequently. But there was something about being alone on the one day that everyone got together that set him on edge. Good job, then, that Selina had come to a similar conclusion when she'd called him on Christmas eve.
