WARNINGS: uh none i don't think
SUMMARY: Sherlock thinks he has a way to win this game without causing too much damage. He's likely dead wrong.
FORMAT: I'll start in para, but whatever you want after that.

Sherlock waited until John was on his way to the clinic before he started to really think about it. It had been brewing at the back of his mind since he saw Edward's post on the network, but as he wasn't sure how much of his thoughts Desire could read, he had been particularly vigilant about it. That, and, of course, his sudden and ridiculous habit of having his thoughts projected visibly around him meant that thinking about anything to do with Desire while John was around was a bad idea. No.

Thus he was very alone when he started to think about it. Though for him the deal had been brokered months ago, he had forgotten it completely the moment he was ported out, but remembered all too well in the wake of Moriarty.

He even had an answer. A real one. One he would not have expected, or believed existed, but was all too clear. And he had proof.

Giving this answer, however, was much, much too risky. Bringing attention to it was the last thing Sherlock wanted to do - without some sort of guarantee. Thus, he needed to talk to Desire.

How to summon an Endless, however, was another matter entirely. He cleared his throat.

"I'm sure you can hear me. Care for a chat, Desire?"
