Ghost made a habit of stalking keeping tabs on the people he'd earmarked as important, in the City. So while Sherlock made plans to move out of the MAC, Ghost made plans to figure out where. He found it fair to spy on other people (though the reverse was not true), since it was for their own good anyway.

He passed a hand through the door, and then stopped. A second passed of intense thought as he remembered how John had reacted to his barging in last time, and guilt stirred under the tight lock-and-key of his emotions, before he withdrew his hand, phased back into solidity and knocked.

Wonderful. Also. Ghost's consideration is adorable. drpsychosomatic December 5 2011, 05:07:14 UTC
John had just that instant sat down with a mug of tea and a biscuit- but he knew better than to assume Sherlock would answer the door for him all the same. Hoisting himself back upright and setting his mug down he glanced over at Sherlock as he crossed the room.

"Expecting anyone?" he asked, amused. They certainly had been inundated with guests today- not that John minded, of course (it was rather nice to feel quite so in demand), but it was getting to be a little farcical.

"No." The statement was matter-of-fact and dismissive. He'd done more than his fair share of social interaction for the day. The newspaper was raised up right into his face, legs crossed to hang off the end of the sofa. He didn't look up at the knock, but instead called:

"Just come on in, the door's unlocked."

There was a momentary silence before Ghost acknowledged--and used the handle. It had been a very long time since he'd bothered, and the doors at the Raft opened automatically (despite having no safety measures, since they also closed automatically). He stepped in and let the door swing closed behind him.

"Hello, Watson. Holmes. ...you're looking for another fixed address."

Sherlock turned down the top of his newspaper at the voice, and tilted his head back over the arm of the couch, looking upside down at Ghost. He was mildly surprised by the visitor - he'd gotten used to Ghost entering without any warning.

"Sherlock, please." A simple reminder. "And yes, excellent deduction. I think we've found one. "

"Sherlock." Whatever he was going to slip into calling him all sorts of things, it was just how he do.

Never one to quibble with niceties, Ghost addressed the burning point in his mind first and foremost.

"Why?"

Sherlock smirked slightly, tilting his head in John's direction.

"My current flat is hardly big enough for two."

John sighed and sank back into the armchair. Trust Sherlock to make it sound like they'd just done it to take the next step in their relationship.

"He needs supervision."

"Heh. I'm sure he appreciates it." Ghost would fondly reminisce for a second over their partnership and how fortunate it was that the Porter brought them in more or less together.

"You may want an unlisted number." A pause, "I don't mean to suggest either of you are incapable of handling threat."

Sherlock waves a dismissive hand. "No need for a landline at all." Not that... he isn't going to tell everyone where they live now anyway. "You think the new flat would be more likely to be dangerous than this place?"

His raised eyebrow was enough to communicate his belief about that.
