[She knew this was probably a mistake. But after last year's lighting debacle, Cassie figured she owed it to the neighbors to try and reign it in a little. Especially since the Doctor had lost his companions.

Besides, Bot could probably use a check-up and vets didn't take AI animals.

Knocking on the door, she stuck her head inside, almost afraid of what she'd find.]

Hello, people of the house, is it safe to come inside?

[The Doctor is walking up from the basement with a ladder too tall to have easily been placed inside the house]

HELLO CASSIE! I'm here!

[There's some swinging and a few knick-nacks nearly die, but somehow he manages not to knock anything over as he sets the ladder on the ground.]

Oh, and hello Bot.

[Oh, this is going to be great, isn't it? Cassie looks a little worried.]

Can I help you? Maybe not punch a hole in the wall with that thing?

[Bot, for his part, gives a very good imitation of a dog-like yip of greeting.]

What? No, this is fine. You can find me a rope though. The upper story is a tad slippery on the roof.

[Cassie set her bag down and started looking, making a motion for Bot to watch it.]

In the kitchen! The dishwasher was trying to escape again.

[wrong_sometimes]

[Cassie pauses, decides she really doesn't want to know and goes into the kitchen to retrieve the rope... or rescue it from the dishwasher. You never can tell. Regardless, she's talking as she's moving.]

Can you give bot a check-up, or run a diagnostic or whatever you call it? I figure he's, like, due or something. [Pause.] I didn't have to be defragmenting his hard drive or running any virus scans all this time, did I?

[Out comes the sonic and he gives Bot a scan smiling the entire time]

Oh, no, he does that himself. Still, he's not too advanced, so it doesn't hurt to give him a once over.

[He reads the side of the sonic and closes it]

[With the rope retrieved, she headed back into the living room.]

Oh the rope! Perfect.

[He nearly snatches it from her hands, but stops to reach down and grab the ladder.]

Come on Cassie, we have decorating to do!

[She's... going to keep her distance a little while he's got that ladder. It looks dangerous.]

Lead on, I guess.

[Good idea because he nearly takes out the house trying to get it outside and against the side of the house. Once it is, well, it's far from the safest looking thing.]

Rope if you please. Then I'll need the box marked "Roof Sparkles."

[She passes the rope over with a dubious look at the ladder.]

[He's tying the rope around his waste and beginning his climb]

[She checks her phone to make sure she has a signal before she starts looking for the box in question.]

Oh have some faith in an old man.

[He's now up on the ladder trying to slide himself up onto the roof.]
