[ Julian is walking through the City, by himself, and for once not bugging anyone, when he hears the gunshot. It's way too close for comfort and he turns quickly, the air shimmering with green energy as he instinctively shields himself with his powers.

But there's no follow up shot. Whoever's shooting isn't aiming at him, so he lets the shield drop and takes off in the direction of the sound. Something's going on, and he's going to find out what. He's expecting to find looters, or muggers, or something.

But instead there's just a guy, a face Julian recognises from the network. He scowls at him. ]

[That sudden outburst from some random guy bursting into his way as he strode out of Covenient Alley TM got him arching an eyebrow, shifting his weight so his right shoulder and arm slipped out of blatant view.]

[He bit off the "Your mom" snap that came straight away, but he wasn't really in the mood to deal with yet another "WHAT YOU SAY ABOUT MY MOMMA" ordeal again. He shrugs, jerks his head at the mangled can on the floor, two bullet holes cut through it.]
