SUMMARY: Ladd is sick and Lua must be a good wife - except they aren't married so just a good fiancée - and take care of him.

Soup always seems to be the first thing anyone thinks of when someone was sick; although a lot of things about her thought processes couldn't be said to be exactly normal this one, at least, was the same.
"Just rest. I'll get you some soup."
Lua had said that before going into the kitchen to make some. As she chopped vegetables for it she couldn't recall another time that Ladd had been sick in the time they'd been together. She might have thought that strange if she wasn't simply happy to be doing something for him, after all she wanted to be useful as long as she was still alive.
This was the least she could do.
