[ That stings, given that she spent a fair few days 'offline' after she saw him. ]

And annoying him, that's the best way forward, is it? George, it's Tom from the diary. He knows all about me, do you really think I want him taking an interest in my family?

I didn't say do secret radio shows! I just said don't advertise, or...or antagonise, or...or give him a reason to target you because I know him, too! That's the same Tom Riddle who nearly killed me. Who tried to kill Harry. What if he...?

[ Can't even finish this. She can't lose another brother, George. She's scared, okay. No one scares her more than Tom Riddle, not even the adult Voldemort. ]

[George gets up at that, and now it is time for sibling hugs :(]

Won't come to that, Gin. Don't think of it. He'll try something, we're certain of that...but nothing we haven't already faced, is it?

[ Yes, okay, well. She does sort of need that, so yes. Hugging is good. ]

No...we've beaten him before. Beaten him older. [ A breath. ] But we always had Harry before. And Harry was, you know...the chosen one, and all that.

It was always Harry that beat him, really. This Tom's even got Harry's wand, you know. [ She will just be glossing over how she knows that, George. ] He was strong at that age, I remember. Already a killer. What are we actually going to do about it?

To be technical, Gin, Harry's more the...One Chosen to Figure It All Out, eh? Being what he was and all. We know about the Horcruxes, just a matter of keeping him from investing too heavily in them around here.

[ginnydor]

But he is a Horcrux. [ All the frowning. She has absolutely no idea how this could even be possible, but it is. ] That’s him, a little fragment of a soul. He shouldn’t even be alive, George. That fragment was going to take my life, but it failed. He should be nothing more than a ghost and he’s here. He’s changed the rules.

[He rests his chin on her head for a moment, frowning at that thought.]

[ She tries to look up at him, but he's being cuddly. Which is actually fine with her, so she just leans her head on his chest. ]

Don't say things like that, like the Porter's alive. What if he goes and attacks it or something?

I don't know what to think. I thought the Porter was brilliant, giving us back people who were...gone. But I don't know what it's playing at to pull him in. Not a very good judge of character, if you ask me.

Not in the slightest. Awful sense of humor, it has. And that's coming from the highest judge of such things.

[ That earns a faint giggle. ] I suppose we should have realised that when it brought in that clown fellow.
