[Peter had tried to give Jess some space after their argument. Or, at least, he’d given her space by Spider-Man standards, which is to say that he’d left a series of increasingly forlorn voice messages on her comm but hadn’t actually sought her out in person.
After two days, though, his patience and self-righteousness had ebbed away, leaving only the guilt that he'd provoked her that far. Now he’s standing outside Gwen’s door wearing a forlorn expression and a not-quite-seasonal knit cap. Said headgear completely fails to hide the fact that his hair and eyebrows are both slowly changing colors in an effect somewhat remiscient of a famous chemistry experiment. But that, so far as he’s concerned, is besides the point.
