[Here's Spirit, standing out with his hands in his pockets like a BOSS. A CHALLENGER APPROACHES]

Hey. I'm Spirit. Don't think we've met.

[screwmeister]

[Stein glances up but doesn't do anything other than give a one-handed wave to Geddoe. Spirit's the better conversationalist anyway.]

[manly nod] Geddoe. Spirit? [weird name...shrug. Oh well. He glances toward the other guy, recognizing him from the comm] Then you must be the weapon. If he's the wielder.

Meister, yeah. [Turns to Stein.] How much does he know, anyway?

[Cause he'd rather not freak anybody out by magically turning into a scythe.]

[Stein shrugs.]

I'm not sure what you mean Spirit. I told him you transform into a weapon so I think we should be good.

[nod. That's pretty much it]

I wanted to see it for myself. Before we spar.

[deadbeatspirit]

Can't be too careful. [Spirit grumbles irritably.]

Guess that's my cue. [There is a flash of light, and then Spirit is gone and in his place is a thin gray scythe]

[a scythe which Stein catches neatly in one hand and swings up so that it rests across his shoulders.]

So what do you say, still up for a friendly fight?

[his motions in handling Spirit's weapon form show familiarity and experience. Spirit was his first weapon as a child.]

[give him a moment to stand there and blink. Congratulations, Stein and Spirit, that's one thing he's never seen before]

That's...mm.

[he shakes himself out of it and draws Wild Geese easily] I'm still up for it. What are my limitations, against such a weapon? For example...were I to disarm, should I not aim to damage it?

[When Spirit speaks, his voice sounds tinny, since he's, you know... a metal scythe.]

Come on, you make it sound like I'm a regular old kitchen knife.

Heh. I really would be impressed if you had the power to damage him in weapon form.

[he swings Spirit into a more battle-ready position.]

Don't go easy on us, okay? It'll be more fun that way.

[look out here he comes - a hard rush with his right shoulder forward, the sword coming up in a wide sweep from low]
