Jean-Paul had dressed himself quite well for the evening, and looked absolutely smug as he could be with his achievement at winning a date with this handsome gentleman. He knew he ought to perhaps behave on his best terms, and he was working quietly with himself as he waited outside the restaurant to tone down on both his eagerness and his smug behaviour. (He'd, ah, had a bit of a talking to about that). While he waited, Jean-Paul checked his watch - he must admit he was here about ten minutes early, though it was not without its purpose. After all, what if his date got lost? Yes, exactly. Completely necessary.
Leaning against the side of the building with a pleased look still on his features, Jean-Paul made a mental note to thank Edna a second time for her kindness in financing his, ah, more personal interests.
