SUMMARY: Charles wants Erik to enjoy a family get-together of sorts in celebration of Rosh Hashana and invites everyone over for dinner.

THE LIVING ROOM

[ Charles has a rather small living room, but he's re-arranged it to be accommodating enough - a small table sits in the middle with chairs and sofas all 'round for guests to use at their leisure. ]

[Erik is the first to arrive, which should not be a surprise considering that his own apartment is just down the hall. He let himself into the apartment, not needing a key even if the door was locked, and called out Charles' name as he entered.

The situation was unusual to him. He had not been able to share the holidays with family for almost two decades. The thought that Charles was putting such an effort into this caused a warmth in his chest.]

[ Charles smiles as he sees Erik, and he turns around to face him with a soft smile on his features. ] Ah, Erik! I am so glad you are here.

[ He quietly stopped preparing the tea and allowed it to steep as he walked to greet his companion, patting his upper arm with a bit of a smile. ]

[Seeming to realize that he is the first to arrive, Erik smiles at Charles and leans in to share a soft kiss with the younger man.]

Thank you for arranging this, Charles.

It... means a great deal to me.

DINNER

[ Everyone's sat down to dinner now that they're here, so they're welcome to discuss whatever while they're eating! ]

AFTER DINNER

[ Dinner is over and now it's chatting time for everyone while the evening winds down, if they so decide. ]

[ What even goes here? I have no idea what I'm doing, okay. Any other interactions that you feel could take place at any time in the evening and don't necessarily follow my amateur scheme of evening-things! ]

Grandpa and grandson times!

[Billy's taking a moment to himself, lost in thought and looking out a window, thinking about his family back home. He really misses them... but it turns out that tonight was better than he thought it would be. A few weeks ago, he thought he'd be spending tonight alone with only Teddy because Teddy was his boyfriend. But tonight had been great. He made a mental note to thank Charles for doing all this a bunch of times for at least a few weeks because he knew he at least was extremely grateful and appreciative.]

[Erik quietly makes his way to his grandson's side. He spends a long moment looking out the window as well before turning to the younger man.]

Is everything alright?

[He flicks a glance over at Erik when he comes over but stays quiet, unsure of what to say. He smiles when Erik asks him a question.] Yeah. Tonight's been great. I just... miss my family. I don't mean to sound ungrateful because I'm not but... [Trails off.]
