Tavros had come to school wearing his best new clothes. Shopping with Kanaya and Nepeta had actually been fun, once Tavros got used to so many people (two) paying so much attention to him. Also, his bookbag is his new favorite thing, so all in all he was starting the day out feeling pretty good about himself!
OH GOOD! Yay! Tavros does not skip over, but it's a near thing, and takes a desk right next to hers.

Look, they could hang out without anything traumatic happening! How awesome was that? ...Granted they'd just started hanging out, but this was a school, surely nothing traumatic ever happened to a student here. :D!
