It had been a weird month. Really weird. He'd come back from the dead, which wasn't too terrible, and before that, he'd lived through a new few years of his life, only to come back into the same time period. And he was still living in the future in the city. It was frustrating, but he could deal with that. Hell, he knew now that it was 100% true, his world wasn't drastically different from any other worlds, and time did stop. It was something he'd worried about non stop when he'd first arrived. He'd taken so long to get started on his campaign because he worried about time passing while he was here. Like things could get worse while he was at home. Wylie would have been just fine.

Nope, he'd gone home, and time had remained still. Not that he'd known when he'd known. Now being back, it was like there was a weight on his shoulders. One that had alleviated slightly with time, being in the city. He felt like here he could let the burdens slip away slowly. He relaxed slightly, but the city wasn't much better. The city had it's own unique brand of stress. It just wasn't as bad as being the second-in-command of the entire goddamn country.

The city, though, had it's own spikes and catching up on approvals and work was time consuming. He was finally going home, very late at night. What, ten pm? It wasn't easy being mayor. Looking out the window, he held a few fingers to his head, watching the city pass by through the window. There was a tinglying, nagging feeling on his left temple, like a migrane, but different. Something in there, prodding, waiting. He let out a soft sight, pushing from the car door to pinch the bridge of his nose and look the back of his driver's head.

"Never a day off, hm?"
