[ It is shaping up to be a very clumsy day for Tonks.

She has barely been awake two hours, so far, and has managed to trip twice. The first had been when she got out of the shower when her foot got caught up in the bathmat. Her arse is going to be bruised from that she thinks. On her way out of the elevator, her burgundy jacket had got caught. The force in which Tonks had used to jerk it free had sent her crashing into the wall opposite the elevator doors.

It is when she's on way back to her room from breakfast that she trips for the third time.

The smooth sole of her left boot hits something wet and slippery. It slides a full foot forward before Tonks is even aware that she's falling. By the time that she is aware, it's too late. Her right foot joins the first. Her arms go out to the sides and she fails a bit but it doesn't help.

Boom! Down goes the Tonks face first into the floor.

Yesterday, a fan had asked her if she really is that clumsy. The answer? Yes, yes she is. ]

Matt wasn't magical. His knowledge of all things magical was limited to what he'd learned from his time with the ninjas and whatever he overheard from Doctor Strange. Still, he'd promised Zatanna he would make an appearance at the convention, if only as her special guest.

So here he was, at a convention, surrounded by magical people and fans. He was somewhat out of his element, but he was determined to not cause any problems, enjoy himself, and not spend any money.

Zatanna, on the other hand, was about as magical as one could get (aside from the fact she didn't look the part of a typical witch). She was here for plenty of reasons, none of which really applied to Matt aside from the fact that to a certain degree, he was also here because of them.

Basically, Zee would've dragged him here, if he hadn't come with.

She approaches him with some caution, gently sliding a hand over his shoulder and giving it a small grip. "Hey, there."

"Hey," he answered, turning his head to face her. He was glad to hear a familiar voice above the others in the crowds, even if he wasn't exactly sure what he was doing there or why. "Are you enjoying yourself?"

She nods in response, but quickly recalls that her little gestures do no good with him. "For the most part, yeah," she lowers her voice to a whisper, careful of what she's saying in public on the following subject, "I've found out that I have some preeeeeeetty creepy fans, though." She's had some in the past, but never to this degree. Never this sort.

The subject is swiftly changed, however. "And you?" She slides her hand down his arm then away.

He quirked a brow at her, though it was partially obscured with his sunglasses. He'd dealt with creepy fans of his own back home after his identity went public, but they were more of the home invasion type than anything else. He'd just have to keep an ear open for anyone getting overly friendly with Zee.

"I got invited to a magic show," he shrugged, keeping the mood light as best he could. "The person then apologized when they realized I couldn't see anything. So, you know, the usual."

it's that luxurious mustache of his, isn't it? fishnets September 6 2011, 04:30:26 UTC
Zatanna could take care of herself and she'd had her fair share of overly enthusiastic fans -- they were a little hard to avoid when you dressed as she did and were as open and friendly as she was. She'd been in the business long enough that most people knew her name from somewhere, if not her looks or some old interview or something. It was the life she chose to lead, so she didn't dwell on it (much).

A hand folds over her mouth and she lets out a playful gasp. "Hey, hey, I believe I asked you to be my date, not to come watch a show. Er, well. Okay, so I did that, too, but I hope you'll let me make it up to you." Only the best things can come from that sort of statement.

"And how do you plan to do that?" He asked her with a hint of amusement in his voice. He could only imagine what sort of tricks Zatanna had up her sleeve, but knowing her, it would be good.

"I have a few ideas, but if you were to give me a hint, it sure would make things run more smoothly. I mean, sometimes I get silly ideas in my head, like people want me to remove all of their kitchen appliances from their home and give them away." What better way to get out of having to come up with your own ideas but to remind him of some of the ridiculous things she's done to people she loves? "Of course, I hate repeating myself twice when it comes to grand stunts like that."

"I could go for something to eat," he smirked at her, reaching to place a hand on her elbow. He didn't exactly need to stay close to her or hold on to her, but it went along with his cover story and all.

The touching also made both of them less accessible to anyone who may try to stop and talk to her. Zee was pretty sure he could spot her in a crowd, though she didn't know the exact details of his abilities. Regardless, she slides her arm back and loops hers around his.

"I'm not sure if there's much quality control in here, but if you want to leave, there are a few places nearby?" Her tone suggests that she wouldn't exactly mind to ditch the hotel for a bit.

[ Luna could be found lounging amongst the throng of tired con attendees sitting by the wall, taking a break from the long weekend's events. She was busily and exciting regaling whoever would listen with tales of the City's Yeti conspiracy. Oblivious to the fact that no one seemed to take her seriously. That, or she didn't care. ]

[Bond's given himself a mission for this Sunday. Find Zee and wander the magic*con and stalk like a pro. He wasn't quite ready for the amount of weirdos in outfits and the like, but whatever floats your boat. He's seen it all before. Thankfully he's mostly by-passed by the crowds, he can't deal with fangirls right now. :| Soooo, he's heading out into the city to get away from it, and because he's had some good intel (a little birdy told him) that there's a certain someone around.

He doesn't bother with hellos or anything of the sort, simply sliding into the seat opposite Zee and offering a smile.] There you are.

[She'd had the feeling of being watched on and off all day. Something beyond the fans, beyond the people in the audience watching the impromptu show she did today for free outside the hotel.

It was one of the reasons why she slid away from Arthur and went off into the city alone. Her cell phone off, she'd come to some local coffee shop and ordered herself some tea and one of those warm, chocolate croissants before sliding into a booth and picking up the local newspaper to read. Her guard down, she didn't even notice Bond was across from her until he was there. She sets the paper down on the table after folding it and stares at him for a moment or two.]

Yes. Here I am.

[Bond can't help but look mildly smug with himself as he gets comfortable, reaching for the little cafe menu to signal that he's staying around.]

For a while there I thought you were hiding.
