Kanaya wandered in around 2pm and immediately began to admire the decor. She wasn't fully sure who she should speak with or what exactly she was doing here to begin with. Some part of her was afraid the whole thing would just reveal itself to have been one big joke. All of the others here seemed much older than her.

She ended up clinging to the wall as she made her way around the room.

Donna spotted her after a moment, and after wrapping up her conversation made her way over. She of all people knew what teenagers were capable of, and didn't really see anything wrong with putting them on her staff--if they took care of themselves and did who knew what in the City and elsewhere, why shouldn't they be old enough to have fashion opinions?

In any case, she waved as she approached, smiling. "Hey. I'm Donna."

She wasn't entirely sure if being recognized was better or not, but if she wanted to be a part of this project, it would certainly be necessary. Still, her glow wavered a bit as Donna approached. Kanaya's first impression of her was very impressed, and noticing the faint sparkles in her hair that the video didn't quite do justice only made her somehow more impressive. Kanaya couldn't imagine why she was wasting her time with someone like her.

"Oh. I...I'm Kanaya. We spoke over the Network, I apologize if I'm interrupting anything."

Donna just nods. "Of course. I thought so, but...sometimes people look different over the little video, you know?" She laughs a little.

"And you're not interrupting, at all. Have you had a chance to look around? What do you think?" She gestures at the office around them. "I was wondering if shouldn't go for more color, but then I figured everyone would want to personalize their own space, so..."

Sometime between two and three in the afternoon, Terezi found the office and let herself in, grinning widely and sweeping the path in front of her with her walking cane. She was more than game for...well, whatever it was she had agreed to do. Something about color, which should be fun.

She wasn't sure how sincere Karkat's recommendation of her had been--she doubted it was much more than an elaborate trolling attempt at someone else's expense--but she intended to have fun with it anyway.

While her clothes were plain--black t-shirt and black shorts, the only decoration the teal symbol on her shirt--her bright red glasses and candy-corn horns more than made up the deficit in terms of color.

She walked through the main room, waiting to be stopped by someone or to run into someone, whichever came first.

And within a few minutes, Donna spotted her and made her way over. She had to pause for a minute to take all of Terezi in--horns, glasses, walking stick and all--but in the end just smiled and called out, "Hi there. How can I help you?"

Terezi turned at the call--looking toward Donna but not at her.

"I'm here for the magazine," she said, grin still in place. "The name's Terezi Pyrope."

That was how badasses introduced themselves in the movies. Donna could feel free to speculate on how a girl who was blind by all appearances intended to weigh in on color choices in a magazine.

That was definitely what was on Donna's mind; however, she felt both curious about their earlier conversation and interested in seeing how this girl operated--the City was home to some interesting characters, after all.

"It's nice to meet you, Terezi. Well, in person. I'm Donna."

FRIDAY; on second thought we can have our cake and eat it too incywincyhero August 28 2011, 19:15:43 UTC
Taking full advantage of his flexible work schedule, Peter worked through his lunch hour and then dropped by the magazine offices after grabbing a sandwich. A sandwich he half-regretted as soon as he walked through the door and took a look at the spread on offer. Never one to turn down free grub, and seeing that everyone in the office so far looked to be busy, he wandered over to the nearest table and grabbed a canapé. Chewing it slowly, he took a good look around, silently whistling in admiration. No one could say that a lot of time, money and effort hadn't been sunk into this project already. Whether that was a good sign or a bad one remained to be seen.

It had been a busy few days, and despite Donna’s attempts to keep an eye on the door and watch who was coming and going, a few people were bound to make it past her. Which was why it took her about ten minutes to notice Peter, and another five or so to disentangle herself from the conversation she was having and make her way towards him. She approached with a wave and a smile.

“Hey there. How can I help you?”

Peter swallowed the last bit of toast and turned around, brushing his hand off on his slacks -- and promptly almost choked. He'd seen Donna Troy in video posts on the network, of course, but none of them had conveyed a tenth of her ... well, beauty, obviously, but also her presence. She sparkled, both figuratively and literally.

Just so long as I don't turn out to be the Bella Swan in this equation, he thought, somewhat irrelevantly.

"Sorry," Peter said, chuckling weakly. "You, ah, startled me." He coughed one last time into his fist, then offered his other, clean one for a handshake. "Peter Parker. I was ... referred here?"

Unaware of any references to sparkling vampires harkening from literature of questionable quality, Donna just nodded, her smile a bit apologetic. “Sorry about that. And of course. I’m glad you made it, Peter.”

She shook his hand, then sat down opposite him. “So, in case you hadn’t guessed, I’m Donna. And I hope we make it worth your while to be away from the lab.” She said the last bit half-teasingly, eager to put him at ease.

Friday afternoon? Oh yeah, open! sweetvalleygirl August 29 2011, 01:09:37 UTC
Jessica picked out a pretty summer ensemble to wear when she met with Donna and fidgeted nervously the entire subway ride there. This was her first real job interview, after all; this wasn't like delivering newspapers like she had done in the past, or like selling cosmetics door to door. She wanted to make a good, lasting impression with her potential boss. This magazine could be her big break, she didn't want to blow it!

Donna spotted Jessica a few minutes after she got there, and smiled as she walked over to meet her. "Hey--Jessica, right? It's nice to meet you in person."

"Yes, that's me!" Jessica perked up, flashing Donna her most dazzling smile. It was her time to sparkle and shine, and she extended her hand to Donna's to shake. "And you're Donna. It's super nice to meet you. I'm so excited to be here!"

Donna shook her hand, her smile just as wide. There was something infectious about other enthusiastic people, and she thrived on it. "And I'm glad to have you. Why don't you come on in and look around?" Donna lead the way back into the main part of the office.
