ARRIVING HEH

[broroona]

[He gets up slowly, peeling his eyes apart. Waits a few seconds for the blur to disappear from his eyes. When it does, he sees Tom over him, and of course, remembers exactly why he was asleep.

He pretty much snarls.]

You tricked me.

[He's too focused on Tom to notice where they are. So for the moment, Tom is left with an angry baroona (again)]

And I'm sorry for that, really, but after the third time we had to pull over, I figured it was for the best.

[Tom backs off a little, wanting to stay out of the range of Baroona's fists. He expected this kind of reaction, but hopefully the change in scenery would make things better.]

[broroona]

[Nope, not yet. He seems to recover his energy fairly quickly, sitting up and glaring at Tom. He crosses his arms.]

Are we there?

[borntobewildcat]

[Tom just ignores the glare. He knows that you don't mean it, bro.]

See for yourself. I'm sure you want to get out of the car anyway.

[He steps out of the way, and sure enough, they're in a fairly private, wooded area, with the falls nearby.]

[broroona]

[Baroona opens his mouth to say something but then there are woods and wilderness and he forgets everything but that. His eyes widen and he's frozen in spot at the sight of them for a few moments before he hesitantly gets out of the car, ignoring Tom as he passes, and looks around in disbelief.

After about five minutes of that he turns to Tom, still shocked.]

This is real?

[Tom goes ahead and lights a cigarette, holding the pack out for Baroona to take one, once he gets over the shock of the natural location. The werepanther can't help but feel a sense of satisfaction over how Baroona was reacting to all of this.]

Of course it's real. I did pretty good this time, huh?

[broroona]

[Baroona turns back to the trees, walking further into them. He touches one, just to confirm that it's real.]

It's beautiful.

[borntobewildcat]

You haven't left the City since being here, right? Well, there's more out there than just concrete and skyscrapers.

[broroona]

I thought you were lying when you told me.

[borntobewildcat]

Baroona, when have I ever lied to you? [Oh wait.] Don't answer that.

There are tons of places like this, where there aren't any cities.

[broroona]

But they are far away. [He'd really rather not walk across 3 countries again, Tom.]

[borntobewildcat]

Some of them are, yeah. But it's not so bad with cars, planes, and boats. Though, I might have to knock you out again for that.

[broroona]

[He snorts.] I wouldn't let you.

[borntobewildcat]

[He grins playfully.] I didn't have much trouble this first time. You're still not used to modern medicine, I'm guessing.

[broroona]

[He turns around to glare at Tom but it falls a bit flat. Mostly because he knows it's true.]

... No.

[borntobewildcat]

[Tom just shrugs and takes a drag of his cigarette, amused even under Baroona's glare.]

I think there's something that can help with your carsickness and won't put you to sleep.

It's not really possible to walk to most of these places.
