Erik's second drink soon arrived and he thanked the waitress before taking a long sip of it and setting it down on the table. He felt quite bad for Charles in having to spend two days being uncertain if he would ever arrive in the City. He had sympathy for Raven as well, though it seemed that she had managed to make some good friends in that time. Erik was glad for that. He knew that Raven was rather attached to him, but there were moments where he felt that her attentions were better focused elsewhere. She could still seem so young and innocent to him at times, even if he knew that she would object very strongly if he ever said such a thing.

Charles was younger than Erik as well, of course, but he found it quite easy to forget the age difference. He suspected that years of being exposed to the most secret thoughts of others was enough to force Charles to mature quite quickly. Erik most certainly thought that Charles' mutation was a fascinating gift, but there were times when he imagined that it must have been very hard on Charles to grow up with his telepathy.

Those words made him chuckle and nod in agreement. "I think it would be prudent for both of us to become familiar with the Internet. It seems to be the primary source of exchanging information now... it is really quite fascinating." He smiled at his companion. "Perhaps my grandson would be willing to, ah, educate us on technology."
