There were a lot of mysterious murders in the City, but Jack was sure deep in his gut that Jerry Redmond's was part of something much bigger, something they had to figure out before it was too late. To do that, he was willing to work with as many vigilantes and private eyes as it took to get the necessary information.
That was why he had decided to reveal almost all of the forensic report to the detective Zatanna had vouched for. Only the crucial detail of Redmond's unusual scarring would be withheld- he was sure that information was key, and was determined to keep it need-to-know to keep from tipping his hand to whatever conspiracy was out there.
Once Maggie arrived, she would be immediately conducted to Jack's office. He would be waiting there, files at the ready.
