Reilly was about a block away from the dojo, busy wondering if he'd remembered to bring change for the subway, when he started hearing strange sounds. In a place like the City that wasn't so weird -- people got up to all kinds of things here -- but he had enough experience to know when someone was sneaking around. And, even better, to know when they weren't doing it well.
"Let's see," he murmured, looking around, waiting for that old trusty tingle. "What I can spy with my little eye..."
There it was. A little twinge of his synapses telling him to turn to the right, just in time to spot a group of people running off, guns concealed.
