Callie walked down the city street, looking around with slight suspicion. This place was completely different from what she was used to. It was peaceful enough that made the snakes under her skin crawl, in the most unpleasant way. So this world is full of humans. Mostly. So what? Callie always liked a challenge. And who knows, perhaps bringing on the end of days would be more successful without that idiot Twayne gumming up the works. She always did like the idea of conquering on her own.

The more she walked, the more her "take over" aspirations started to fizzle out. Yeah. Lets face it, Callie, you're in a world where full fledged demons such as yourself are not the majority here. She was powerful, but she knew her limits. She was more of the "work your way to the top" kind of gal anyway. So what did that mean? A job. She'll have to find out where she could stick her foot in and build things up on her own. Once she figured this place out, established some clout, and destroyed every insignificant worm along the way-- hopefully by some utterly gruesome end-- this place may just be home. She shivered again, but this time the good kind. Oooh she liked the possibilities.

She spent the past couple days scoping out jobs and turned in her resumes earlier that day. With any luck, any business with half a brain would hire her, so she wasn't worried. Feeling like a good wind down, she walked to the nearest bar and sat herself by the counter. The fact she was an import was as clear as the horns on her head, but she didn't seem bothered or thrown despite some of the staring. In fact, she enjoyed the attention. "Cosmopolitan," She gave the barkeep her order, not waiting long before the martini glass made it to her hand.

She hated to admit that she missed Mark a little. He was her boyfriend after all. Taking a sip she had to roll her eyes at herself. Obviously he wasn't here. It was time to ignore that irritating human side of herself and just forget about him for now. Knowing him, he was probably cavorting with some brunette somewhere thanks to his buddy Randall's encouragement. In which case, she'll have to make sure to destroy him if Mark ever did show up here. Tch, if he thinks she's going to wait one more day for him to show up he had another thing coming. You snooze you lose.

New dimension, new life. That's just how it was going to be.
