He had been having a hard time when it came to getting some sleep.
At first, it had only been a few extra minutes. Then it began extending, until it climbed up into an hour or two.
Now it was hour three, and Heero was still awake. His thoughts wouldn't stop. He had to get to sleep before school in the morning. School was the problem. He didn't like how the other students looked at him. They didn't look at Quatre so blankly. The only value school had was what it could teach him. Nothing else mattered.
He had to get to sleep so he could stay sharp as he watched the comm. There were so many people, all of them just as wary and cautious as he was. Some were more so. There was A--A who seemed to want his help, and he wasn't sure why. A was dangerous. But he had to keep an eye on A because he was dangerous. He couldn't tell anyone he was keeping an eye on A because it was too dangerous. Normally he would've informed someone so they could keep just as many tabs on the situation--
--but that was no longer an option.
Heero rolled over, buried his face in the pillow, and let out the quietest exhale of breath he could manage.
He wanted options.
