Not that he was worried about how this would go. He already had the job, but it just... didn't seem right to not test himself for Selina and whoever else might be running the place now. Whoever they were. What if they'd found a better teacher for his kids? It wouldn't be - ugh, he hated to think it, but - responsible not to make sure they were getting the best education possible.
He was snapped out of his reverie the second he spotted Cass, jogging over to her with his usual dorky smile. Maybe she would know who he needed to see.

"Hi," she said, a little surprised to see him. His class wasn't for a few hours, and it was obvious that he'd been out on patrol, so a workout didn't seem too necessary. Unless he was adopting a Cass-esque workout routine. "Training?"

"Um. That's me."

"...Oh. Congratulations."

He smiled back, trying to go for reassuring, but it was just awkward. "Unless you want to?"

She paused for a few moments, before getting a sly smile. "Okay. Can be a teacher... if you can hit me." Okay, so maybe that only defused the situation in Cass's mind. But it wasn't like she was going to fire him if he couldn't.

The awkward was still there - so thick you could almost see it, in fact - but at least this was normal. For them, anyway. Fists raised, and smiling, he said. "All right. There's a first time for everything."
