It's the tailend of Tyler's night, late enough that even he is giving thought to heading home. Last call has came and went, and all potential fight prospects have either vanished into their Ikea-lined nests, or already tapped out, blooding dribbling from their lips and bruises blossoming on their skin, Tyler's hysterical laughter chasing them from the parking lot.

It had been a decent night. He's in a good mood.

Even when he turns at the touch of hands on his elbow, turns at the sound of gulping sobs and nearly incoherant pleas. Oh, comes the thought, something the Narrator can probably hear, if he's paying attention, Interesting.

"Well, well, well. Look at you, psycho girl," he says, eyeing the crimson stains, stark against white fabric. "Where did you come from?"

Nina lets go of him, taking a single step backwards. None of her behavior changes -- if anything, she shows some surprise -- but the girl lifts her head to look at him, still trying to speak between sobs.

"I don't know where I am." She shakes her head and gulps again, hands now crossed and resting on her shoulders. A fruitless attempt to protect herself from the cold. "Something's happened to me. Please."

"Well, yeah. You're here now."

Crying women have never been Tyler's forte. Or rather, offering comfort to people who aren't Jack isn't Tyler's forte. He doubts punching Nina in the face will help her get a grip. Pain doesn't work for everyone. He looks at her with detached interest, the way someone watches an interesting television show or the guests on Jerry Springer, and then lights a cigarette.

"Want one?"

She's visibly confused, placing her foot on a small rock when she takes another hesitant step back. Nina gives a little twitch and a hiss at the pain, returning immediately to the matter at hand. She parts her lips and shakes her head at the offer, trembling. Nina sounds increasingly apprehensive.

"Where am I?"
