[Diana makes her way over Kara's table after a few minutes, waving to catch the girl's attention. She doesn't really have a secret identity in the City, but today she's dressed in her Diana Prince persona. Glasses, hair tied back -- her posture is a little different, but aside from that, she doesn't bother changing anything else.]

Linda? [Might as well start immediately.]

[ When she spots Diana, she perks up and waves back with a grin. It seems she's taking cues from all three of her mentors with this secret identity thing. Dorky librarian clothes and thick, round glasses from Clark, her hair up like Diana, and she's trying to follow Bruce's suggestions when it comes to other things, but. It's still a work in progress. Still, it's better than nothing. There's not an S-shield in sight. ]

Diana, hey!

[She smiles as she takes a seat across Kara. Diana immediately recognizes her -- but that's just because she knows the other superhero so well.]

How are you? [She signals a waiter and orders a drink.]

I'm alright. A little fidgety, maybe.

[ She tucks a loose strand of hair behind her ear as she looks away for a moment. ] It's weird doing this without Lana around.

You should start learning how to be comfortable in this skin, no matter the situation. [A pause.] Have you thought about to what extent you're going to use this identity?

I have. I'm not going to use it on the Network, but I am going to need a job and I'd rather keep that and my apartment something just for me, you know?

[ She pauses and twirls the straw in her water around. ]

And I was thinking, if I end up still being here in the summer, I may want to take a few classes at a community college. Lana and I were talking about me going to MetU back home. It won't count between universes, but I'd like to get back into learning things. It would all depend on how busy I get with work and... other business, though. [ League business, that is. ]

You should definitely continue your education here. I'm sure there won't be as many interruptions as you expect. [Diana leans back on her seat.] Now, have you talked to Bruce about setting your identity up officially?

It'll be strange, to actually go to school, but I want to try it.

[ She nods. ] I have, a little. He's the one who helped me get all settled in with my apartment and everything.

I didn't get my education through the system in Man's World, but I'm sure it will be a wonderful experience.

Excellent. [She lifts up a hand to signal a waiter.] But you still have trouble adjusting to this identity, don't you?

[ She nods and looks thoughtful. ] I'm not sure how to put it into words, exactly. I've always been myself when I'm in the cape, I'm not exactly sure how being myself is going to translate into Linda Lang, when that's always been more of a... personal thing. Something I could use to get away from all the baggage and pressure that comes with the business.

The goal is to realize that Linda Lang shouldn't be an entirely different persona. She's still you, albeit a more subdued version. [A beat.] You don't need to follow Clark's mannerisms, do what feels comfortable to you.

I think part of the problem is that I'm most comfortable doing things normal people can't. I think I fly more than I walk most days. It's going to take some adjustment and copying things I've seen my cousin do is... familiar, in a way.

Do you foresee yourself having a hard time adjusting to this identity? [Because it's starting to sound a bit like she will.]

I don't think it's the adjusting to it that's going to be difficult, I've gotten pretty good at adjusting to different places and cultures and acting a little differently, but it's the logistics of everything that's making my head spin. Getting everything figured out before putting it into practice.

That's why you should take it one step at a time. Since Bruce has already taken care of the...official side of this matter, you can focus more on the finer details of being Linda.

[ She grins. ] Hence the lunch meeting.
