It keeps getting better

SUMMARY: Lily and Nico made plans to go and play video games for an afternoon

Lily had agreed to meet Nico at the arcade right after classes at the Xavier Institute. She had also sent out invitations to a few people and welcomed Nico to do the same. How many showed up would depend on how many people checked their communicators in time. At the moment, she was meandering around inside the arcade, waiting patiently for Nico. She eyed one of the shooter games that looked fun, but it was occupied by two older boys for the moment. It looked like it was possible to play as a team or in vs. mode, which appealed to her.
After making another round through the arcade, she found Nico. "Hey!" she greeted with a bright smile.
Lily was still upset about what had happened to her Mother, that her little sisters were gone, and that Heine was in jail. In spite of that, she was forcing herself to act cheerful and move forward with her life. She couldn't change any of those things, so it was better to look on the bright side. She had friends, she had helped people on more than one occasion, and she had managed to hold herself back from blacking out and losing control of herself when she saw what Heine did to Mother. There was hope, and the fact that she had a friend meeting with her to play video games was a sign that some of the changes in her life had been for the better.
