The party has barely even started. Obviously, this is a problem that needs to be remedied.

Spidey's hanging out near-ish, but not next to the food, wearing a hat and nibbling on some munchies while he sips punch.

Angelica is making her way toward the punchbowl when she spies someone modeling one of those festive hats. She can't help but giggle at him. "That's hot."

Spidey reaches up and pushes the hat lightly. "I know, I feel very suave. How's things, Firestar?"

"Oh you know, the usual," she grinned, sending a glance back over to wherever Pietro is. He's probably bitching about something. Nothing a little punch won't fix, right? "How's the food? It all looks so tasty..."

Spidey pops a guacamole-covered chip in his mouth and groans appreciatively. "The guac's to die for, anyway. I gotta ask Bobbi for the recipe. Not that I'd be able to make it without setting my apartment on fire, but it's the principle of the thing."

That's all the convincing Angie needs to try a bite. And eating it is like heaven. "Oh gawwwd. I think I could eat a whole tub of this stuff." She smacks her lips a little. "But we both need to save room for dessert. I made the cake, after all."

"Oooh, really?" He swivels around to give the cake a second look. "Well, if the inside tastes as good as the outside looks ... that is some serious frosting action going on."

She laughed brightly, admired her own creation. It did look nice, didn't it. She was getting quite good at cake baking. Reilly would be so proud of her.

"I live with a man who consumes a great deal of sugar. It seemed like a good idea to appease him and use some extra frosting." She paused before adding, "And there's raspberries inside."

"Well, no complaints from this department," Spidey said, patting his stomach meaningfully.

James comes over, glad to see someone else wearing one of the hats. He has started on fruit punch and chocolate covered fruit.

"Hi, Spidey."

Spidey glances over and perks up. "Hey, how's it going? Been a while since we last talked."

"It's going okay. This place is still confusing sometimes, but it's not bad."

He's enjoying the party so far. "Are you having fun?"

"Planning on it!" He gestures to his plate. "The food's a pretty good start, don't you think?"

"It is. This stuff is great." James is a teenage super soldier with an amazing metabolism, so he thinks most food is great.

"Oh, and thanks for visiting Gerry."

"It was my pleasure. He's a great kid. Of course," Spidey said ruefully, "the bit about him taking my name and my costume was a bit of a shock, but it's not like that's never happened to me before."
